Yuuki sat on her bed, staring blankly down at the floor. She was alone once more. She had had her heart broken again only a few months ago, back in the summer, but she had gotten over that and had found a new love in another man. But like most, if not all the ones she loved before him, he seemed to have drifted from her, and now, all she had left were memories and dreams. She had had one man offer her his heart, but she pushed him away, and now it was too late to go back and fix it. But it didn’t matter even if she could fix it, for she knew it would have ended badly in the end, for she could not live with some of the things that would come with being with him.
After growing bored of staring at the floor, she looked up and over at the wall, hoping for some hint as to what she should do now. And there it was on the wall, a small calendar reading October 1st, 2008. It was upon reading this that it hit her. Halloween was approaching within the month, which meant that Jack would be returning soon enough.. Sure it had been around a year, but how could she have forgotten about him.
It was then that she remembered the note she had written months ago to give to him, still folded up in her pocket. She pulled it out and looked over it once before tearing it up into tiny pieces. It had no use to her now.
She stood and went to her closet and opened it. There it was, just as she had left it when she put it together. The time to adorn it was now. She dressed and armored herself in black and orange. She looked at herself in the mirror one last time before she slipped the visor on over her dark green eyes and heading out into the world to find her master.
