I mean the blackout that happened this week, from Hurrican Ike. There was nothing like it, and there will never be anything like it again! It happened Sunday afternoon, my brother and I just left the mall WHEN it happened! We got home to a panicking mother and dad who just looked at us and rolled his eyes. She really needs her electricity! Then I admired the strong winds that I haven't seen in years, got to see a couple of trees fall. It was amazing and scary, thinking our house could get hit!!! Luckily no damaged occured. We were in the Dark for 2 days...My mother said it was God punishing us...then on the second day she wandered around the house, in her church clothing, trying to feel "human" again...it was scary!!! The worst thing for me was no computer [and gaia!] and no light see. I drew at night mostly so that was a problem. but like i said, 2 days only, so we survived. we did alright for food to! we just grilled stuff. YUM!
