You see, I jump around from one journal to the next. Now I have one on blogspot and just mainly post every now and then there.

Let's see...

I gave my lesson for SSL-ing yesterday in the English class I help out in. I taught them how to use semicolons, colons, and dashes and then they had to write a 40 minute ECR using at least one of each. Some of them were like, "What?!?!?!" as soon as Ms. Shortall gave them assignment, so I quickly went through how to and when to easily use each one and that it's good to only use each of them once since you don't want to ever overuse them unless you have good reason to. I also cited Poe as an example as using the dash a lot but still very effectively when portraying a frantic state of mind. However I made sure that when writing essays, they're going to want to use dashes mainly for a quick burst of emphasis and to think wisely before using them.

And then I was all, "OH AND SEMICOLONS ARE NOT COMMAS. DO NOT USE THEM LIKE COMMAS!" because that's their main problem.

Oh, and a friend and I got to act like Narutards for Sociology.
