This song has been touching the depths of my soul lately because of everything that I have been going through not only through my life but also through my Christian walk as a Christian. You see ever since I was 7 I have been a Christian but I felt more like a cultural Christian than anything else. Its like I was not tuned into what God wanted me to do because I couldn't hear him. Not with my heart or my ears but I was able to see him with my eyes through others that were stronger in there faith than I was.

Ever since Easter however that has changed. At that time in my life my now ex-boyfriend Jotham (aka Lord of the Stars or J-dawg-4-Jesus-Christ) and I were going through some rough patches. I was afraid that I was going to lose him and it scared the tar out of me. At this point I was hurt and torn as I watched the Easter play conclude at my church. In the moment of the dramatized crucifixion God reached into the depths of my broken heart. In the silence of the drama he told me that he loves me unconditionally and that he wanted to heal my all the hurt and pain that I have been and will be going through if I would let him. He also hold me that it was a matter of letting him into the depths of my soul where I feel the most vulnerable.

To make a long story short of course seeing as I am a total chatter box as usual, ever since than God has been doing a work in me. He's given me the strength to face my past, helped me mature as a young adult and believer, brought good people into my life and he's still talking to me. There are times I have felt that I was drifting away from God and in that moment of weakness is when I am the strongest because that is when I am willing to admit that I need God. So in short this song gives me hope, peace and courage to keep going because God is my voice of truth and he will defend me against ALL of my enemies and situations that I may face on this path of life.
