It was any normal day of the week for Riley Andrews. He woke up at the last minute as usual, threw some clothes on, brushed his teeth and headed downstairs for a bite to eat before leaving to catch the bus to school: his twin brother Curtis not to far behind him. The two had barely missed the bus as they made little effort to run to their bus stop as the big yellow vechicle pulled away down the street, leaving Riley and Curtis the options of either walksing to school or skipping it entirely."Well....missed it again" Curtis said in a casual tone.
Riley shrugged, "heh what can ya do?" he said with a small grin.
"Shall we start walking then?"
"Yeah but lets go this way," Riley said as he pointed in the opposite direction that that bus had went,"i heard it's a short cut...plus it's easier to walk through the park and those woods then it is to have to run and doge cars this early in the morning."
Cutris nodded in agreement as he glanced at his watch to read 6:30 am,"Tell me again why we're even up this early if we kno we're just gonnna miss the bus anyways..."
Riley shrugged and started heading towards the park down the Wolfrum Road.
The two brothers slowly but surely walked down the road, through the park and all the way into the little woods that there was to offer the two on their jounrey to school when they came across a gravel road smack dab in the middle of the woods."hmm...that's a new one....i've never seen this here before" Curtis said as they started walking down it.
"Must be new" Riley commented.
Still drowning in morning sleepy-ness...the twins walked down the long gravel road that seemd to go on forever until they came across a somewhat dark allyway.
Riley looked up,"whoa...what's this? i think we might of took a wrong turn or something..."
"a wrong turn? how could we make a wrong turn if we were following the only gravel road in the woods?" said Curtis.
"psh beats me...should we go though it? i donno where it goes....this is all new to me...."
"Yeah same here...i donno...maybe we should head back..."
"Head back? psh...walk all that way? common you kno we're both way to lazy to do that....onward it is!" Riley said as he walked straight into the shadowy alley;Curtis right behind him...
