Ok so I decided to put here a short description and few pictures from my trip to the north. So here we go:
Lilygwen's amazing trip to the windy North! *ahem*
Me and my boyfriend set off driving on last saturday morning. On the first day we drove about 500 kilometers to Ranua where we stayed the night in small cabin. The cabin had only two beds and a desk. But it was warm and it was so nice to sleep in a proper bed rather than in a tent.
On sunday we left to Ranua Wildlife Park. It was rather gloomy day but it wasn't hot, which was nice. In the Park there's all kind of Nordic animals and I tried to take some pictures. It was bit tricky but I managed to get few good pictures. I'll put just links in here so it won't fill the entire page. whee
ORLY owl
Moose
Eagle
Whooper swan
The most interesting animals in the park were the polar bears. There were three of them and boy were they huge! I have here a picture of the bear and one that has wooden bear in actual size... and me. xd
All three
One was slightly bored
The size comparison Keep in mind that I'm 1,70m (5.57 feet)
There was lots of other animals as well but I didn't get good pictures of them because it started to rain in the afternoon. From the park we decided that we'll drive up north as long as we can just stay up. Around midnight we came to my parents cabin where we were supposed to go.
In the next week we went to fishing in the seashore, visited Kirkenes town, made some pancakes and went to sauna. It was really nice and because the spring was so late in the north this year, there weren't any mosquitoes. The weather was really nice, though bit chilly and it rained few times. I liked it, because I like bit cooler weather. smile Here's few pictures from the north Norway.

As you can see from the fishing pictures, it wasn't that warm in the shore. It was afterall in the shore of the Arctic Ocean so I doubt it was more than few degrees over zero.
But it was really a fun trip and I would of liked to stay there longer. *sigh* Oh well, maybe next summer again. Tomorrow I have a job interview so I guess I should go to sleep now.

My journal is about my thoughts and what goes on my life. I also might post some of my (art) works as well if I manage to get them in digital form someday.
