for a little while we've been planning a four day camping trip. sweatdrop and it was quite a job let me tell ya! we had to pack up clothing, personal hygene stuff and entertainment. if you had gone on a multi-day vacation, you know how it is. so the day of the camping trip, my brother and i were sent out to get food for four days. we went to the store and got everything needed. we ended up with a lot of items, as you can imagine, and we waited in line. as soon as we packed up the food, we would be on our way to camp! but the cashier...was...so ...SLOW! we just couldn't wait! so we went through the self check-out lane. my brother scanned the food and i bagged it, we went pretty fast. then we went outside, put the food in the trunk and drove home. after loading the food into the coolers, my little brother asked me, did we pay for the food? in horror we saw the hundred dollar bill in his wallet, realizing that we've left without paying for about 80 dollars worth of food!
how did this happen? no sirens went off, no one noticed, AND IT WAS A s**t LOAD OF FOOD FOR GOD'S SAKE!
we went back to explain the situation to multiple clerks and managers. some were amazed, one looked like he was afraid he was gonna lose his job and another one thought it was as funny as hell. i thought it was funny. i always seem to pull off stuff like this. heh, in fact i managed to smuggle in foreign fruit into the country and they are really strict about it. note that i didn't do it on purpose. isn't funny how our lives can be like a sitcom sometimes?
