hmm.. Got my report card last night.. hah.. I didn't fail~ I... so.. happy... heart

Anyways, I wonder if ya'll can give me an opinion? I'm REALLY unsure...

I've entered a poem that I made purely out of boredom, and months later, they send me letters, inviting me to Las Vegas to come to their convention. They say I've been nominated for Poet of the Year and likely to win one of the 10k Cash prize. But the thing is, I gotta pay for travel expenses and the only discount I can get is at the Riviera Hotel and Casino. This whole thing takes place in July, and I really don't know if I should go for it or not... I mean, it COULD be a scam! >< Will ya'll readers tell me if I should go for it or not?

Life Labels... Or so They're Called
As a child,
You can't help but not notice a thing,
So it's okay to be carefree, as they say,
But when you grow older,
You look back and realize something is missing,
But it's too late,
Time can not turn back,
No matter how much you wish things were different.
Every experience that has touched you,
Can and will follow you for life.
For example, loneliness throughout your life,
Or violence throughout your life,
Or pain throughout your life,
And so much more.
These are what everyone calls "labels".
The so-called "labels" are stuck to you,
Until the time you greet death,
No matter how much you claim to have changed.
