Phew, I'm trying my best to slog through Paradise Lost but it is a challenge with its blank verse and heavy religious message. It is beautifully written and though it is a morality tale it's weird because it seems like the author is sort of in love with Lucifer. I keep thinking as I'm reading it, 'Satan RAH RAH. Satan is the coolest.'
I'm sure that wasn't the author's intent and is just my skewed perspective. I'm always rooting for the villains. wink But hey, when Satan is saying stuff like, 'Better to reign in Hell, than serve in Heaven' what am I supposed to think?
Anyway, I can tell it isn't going to be a fun diversion and instead be a task, one those books I can be proud to say I've read, but that's about it.
Hmm, maybe if I try to read two pages a day it won't seem so tedious. At that pace and with how long it is, I'll have finished it in roughly a year. confused
