I have been assigned a monologue project for my acting class, and I can't decide what monologue to do... I have a couple of choices... some I found, and some I wrote. Tell me which on you think I should do. I will be frequently adding more to the list, so keep looking back.

Update: Alright, I dropped the game intro's and am sticking with what I've writen. So its your calls. I'm leaning towards the Xemnas Report, but I'm not sure. Tell me!

Gozza's Plight
We're on a mission, but he’s not focused. Instead, he’s sitting beside Matimeo on a bench, just so Matimeo with his leg in a plaster cast won’t feel left out.

He's so sweet and kind. Within him beats a compassionate heart completely at odds with the fiery temper and monstrous strength he’s demonstrated in battle time and again.

I’m jealous damnit. Jealous and wishing I had a broken leg, then maybe I’d have a legitimate reason to keep him by my side all night.

I’m jealous. So damn jealous.

And disgusted.

Not disgusted with him for giving up his night for this boy for whom he feels no more than friendship. Oh Synu-sama let that be true. Not disgusted with him for keeping him captive simply by being a figure of sympathy he broke that leg on purpose damnit!

I’m disgusted with myself.

I mean, I know there’s a lot wrong with me, but this must be the icing on the top, the cherry on the whipped cream. He’s a former squad member and…and…well, that’s about it.

Oh, and there’s the other thing too.

He hasn’t got a clue about the way I feel.

I don’t blame him. I’m am one of the legendary Mizu-Sanin, if I haven’t learned to hide my emotions by now, what use am I as a ninja?

Plus, I didn’t even have a clue about the way I felt until I saw him actually smiling at Matimeo a few months ago. And suddenly everything came crashing down. Big fat heavy puzzle pieces falling into place to show me a picture I never wanted to see as I realized that... I could lose him in a second, just like that. He could be gone. He could belong to someone not me and nothing would ever be right again.

It’s not just that he’s beautiful, or intelligent or strong or humourous or sexy or hard-working or compassionate or gentle. He’s come so far! Become more than I could have dreamed. Although hell, I won’t pretend all those characteristics don’t attract me.

Maybe it’s just that he’s not broken yet, not fractured, no deep-seated problems like half the kunoichi in this village; I’ve heard that badly flawed men are often enchanted by their polar opposite. Or am I being cynical?

Maybe I don’t really love him. Maybe I don’t know how to love someone that way, the happily-ever-after type way. I’m not sure.

But I know this.

I don’t like it when Matimeo looks at him like that.

So I’m going to go and stop it. Sorry Matimeo-kun, but you don’t need him. Not like I do.

Xemnas Report

Body. Heart. Soul. The three pieces to a person’s body. My life was devoted to the research of the heart. To discover the hearts true essence. To discover the pathway to Kingdom hearts.

More recently my research has turned from the heart, to the soul. When a heart is released, a heartless is created. But what if the spirit is forgotten?

When a piece is taken from a puzzle, the puzzle is incomplete. It falls apart. Without one piece, the others cannot stay together.

When a heart is taken from a person, a heartless is born. These heartless linger in the world of light.

When the heart is lost, the body become broken, the body is torn away. I am one of these “non-existent ones”, a Nobody.

When the soul is released from a person, what happens? This is my new focus.

Instinct.

Instinct is what the heartless runs by. Instinct to find hearts. Instinct to grow in numbers and gather in power.

When a heartless is born its first instinct is to find another being and extract their heart. The Heartless take hearts not only from all living creatures, but from the planet itself. But what do they do with the heart of the world?

The answer was simple:
Born out of darkness in people's hearts, they seek to return to a greater heart.

Who are you if you are a Nobody. A body without a heart nor soul. A person with a strong heart keeps their human form. But what is a Nobodies purpose?

A Heartless seeks the heart of a world to claim. A Nobody seeks the heart of a world to release.

Sora.

Roxas.

Sora the KeyBlade Master. A strong hearted child from Desteny Islands. Was chosen by the KeyBlade to stop the darkness from overthrowing the light. With the help of Donald, Goofy, the King Mickey, and his friend Riku, he closed the door to darkness.

Roxas. The Nobody of Sora the keyblade weilder. The "Key of Destiny", was "born" when Sora briefly became a Heartless. Due to a combination of Sora's short time as a Heartless and Kairi's heart serving in Sora's revival, Roxas has no memory of being Sora.

If Sora is the whole puzzle, his hearless the piece of his heart, then Roxas is the piece of his body. But that leaves one piece missing.

If a heartless stays in the world of light, and the Nobody travels to the world of dark, where does the soul go? My hypothisis… the world in between… the world of twilight.

Ansem the Wise. A foolish man. He saught to uncover the secrets of the heart. I was aprenticed under him as we saught to discover the hearts true essence. He and I believed that darkness could spread into hearts, taking control and swallow the heart. We did resarch and ran tests on darkness and its relation to the heart.

Eventually Ansem became afraid of the darkness that we researched and scrapped the experiment. I, on the other hand, gathered my own followers and continued the research that he so foolishly abandond.

Braig, Dilan, Even, Elaeus, Ienzo, and I.

The darkness overtook us and we shed our human bodies, hearts… and our souls.

Our hearts; lost, created Heartless

Our bodies; broken, gave birth to nobodies

Our souls; forgotten… what was devised?
