Yays! I had a really great time on my trip, it was very, very fun! I have lots of pictures and things that I can show later, maybe, lol. ^_^
On Friday we left and we headed down to go and play, and at 3:00 or so we performed. I think I played really well, the best that I've ever played those pieces when I wasn't desperately trying to make sure that my music wasn't falling off of the stand. There was some sort of air vent that kept blowing air at the stand and it made my music basically fall of the stand. It made me really aggravated because I would have to stop playing hold the music down, and when I came back in I would be in the wrong place, or play something wrong, it really frustrated me! I'm so mad about it still! I really wanted to cry at the time because this is the last time for me to get to do this, since I'm not going to be in orchestra next year and I'll never get to play in a competition like this again. sad It makes me sad. But I'm now thinking that even though I won't be able to be in orchestra next year, no room in my schedule I might join back in my senior year....I'll have to practice really hard though, I don't want to get out of shape in playing my violin.....it would be cool to be able to come back for senior year I think. As much as it frustrates me at times I figured out just how much I love playing the violin and all of the people in orchestra, they're good friends to me and I would miss them if I never get to see them anymore.
After our performance we went back to the hotel for about an hour and a half, we got settled into our room and then went out exploring. We found the pool went back to our room and then found people and found a game room with SPINNY CHAIRS! ^___^ The spinny chairs were really fun, and I bet you can't guess what we did in them! We spun! XD It was really fun, and Caitlin and I fell out of the chairs quite a few times, and Travis was just spinning, I don't think he fell. We also found out that the games in the game room discouraged drugs, but incouraged violence...mixed signals...hmmm...xD
Then we went to dinner at Biggs fun center, it was really fun! I played lazer tag twice, didn't do very well, lol. The lazer tag was really weird there weren't any bases, so all you were doing was shooting at other people. It was fun though, there were tons of people there. After that we went to do Go-Karts, and that was amazingly fun for me. I loved taking sharp turns and it gave me a major adrenaline rush, and I was laughing a ton. After the first run everyone else went to go play lazer tag again and I did the Go-Karts by myself for the next two runs. It was really fun anyway, although I do feel kinda sad that I didn't go play lazer tag. I liked the go-karts a lot better though, the driving crazily was amazing for me, but it was more fun and giggly with other people.
After dinner we came back to the hotel and went swimming. The first time I went to the pool it was just to sit, but after about a minute I decided I wanted to swim so I went and changed into my swim suit. Nobody else did, lol. So I was swimming and splashing Sara's, Caitlin's, Travis' and Tess' legs as I swam and they were splashing each other. After a while when I was majorly splashing Travis he said, "Screw it!" and jumped in, it scared me so bad! Lol! I freaked out and swam away and inhaled a lot of water, lol. He as was everyone else fully dressed when he jumped in and all his clothes (and wallet, lol) was soaked! XD After that Sara really wanted to swim and jumped in. A few minutes after that Caitlin who was already majorly soaked put up her hair and jumped in when we only had three minutes left to swim. It was really fun! All of their clothes were still soaked the next morning, 4laugh
When we got back to our rooms we read and then everyone else fell asleep. I tried to sleep, but I don't think I actually fell asleep until about 3:00... xp
The next morning we ate breakfast and played cards, I taught people to play erf! Yay! XD I won...XD Sara knew how to play, so it was basically just that I had faster reflexes in the early morning than everyone else. After that we went to finish packing and headed to the hotel lobby, then we loaded the bus and headed out for Pikes Peak. The bus rides were amazingly fun, we had a ton of laughs and now we are going to have a lot of weird explaining to do if anyone ever asks us why we're laughing at stupid stuff. hehehehe. But, Travis says we're not allowed to tell people why we're laughing, so it might be difficult, lol. It shall be seen....XD Caity-lin was falling asleep for a lot of the bus rides so I was talking to Travis and Duck (Duck was annoying, so mostly Travis) for a lot of the bus ride. We played cards in an interesting way, lol. Caity-lin, Travis, Duck and I played BS and we used Eclipse to hold the cards, XD I lost both games of BS, my strategy wasn't working all that well this weekend, xD. The railroad ride up to Pikes Peak was pretty fun for the most part, the scenery up there was amazing! Then when we got up there we had fun "saving" lives, mostly Caity-lin to freak her out, hehe. And then we rearranged seating on the railroad ride back so we could see out the window, it was really fun.
Then we went to the Academy place, lol, can't remember the name right now, but it was really fun. The Cathedral looked AMAZING! It was soooo beautiful! I'll have to show pictures later, but it was beautiful! After that we headed home, but we have lots of jokes that are really funny now but I'm not sure if people who didn't go will understand. XD
Then, we basically got home, and...that's about it! Lol, although there is some other stuff, but I doesn't want to type it out so I isn't gonna. biggrin
