Tea and Sims. (Please excuse the mess; I haven't slept.)
I cleaned the tea maker! I think I already mentioned that. So now, at four in the morning, I'm on the first cup of a pot of oolong. I used the last five bags. Guess what? I don't think I really like oolong. I didn't let it step long enough, I think, but also it's just not quite the taste for me. Two or three more cups to go. I use mugs, not the smaller cups, so I have more at once. No, I don't make sense. Not at this time of morning with no sleep. I don't know what's keeping me up. My outfit makes even less sense, but it's only partially done. I'm hunting around the shops for bits too add. Like, the top. And the bottom. And maybe some shoes. I think I got carried away with the gold. Ooh. The second cup is much better. I cut open the tea bags, but the leaves, while large enough to stay in a bag, were too small to stay in place in the tea maker, so there are leaf bits floating around in the pot, which has a heated plate thing under it. It's kind of like a coffee maker. So the tea is getting stronger while it sits. Maybe I do like oolong. This cup is very good. I thought I bought a Gingko Leaf Hairpin already. Oh well. So. Sims! I'm on the Hollis household. Seto and Bertram had another set of twins, both girls, who I named Hrisoula (supposedly "golden" wink and Melitta (supposedly "honey" wink . The founder of the household, Mausi Hollis, died not long after. Her husband, Remington, still had a few days to go. His aspiration was romance, and he'd been getting quite friendly with another romance sim, Steffi Walter. Steffi's husband is romance, so I knew he wouldn't be jealous if she cheated, so I had Remington invite her over as soon as Mausi died. He was already rolling up romantic wants for her. Steffi, not Mausi. I have ACR, so I didn't tell Remington to do anything with Steffi. I just kept him idle and near her. A casual flirt icon popped up in his queue once, but it never happened. I think he was doing something while I wasn't paying attention, then Steffi tried to flirt with him, but she lost interest before he was done doing whatever. There were two adults, two children, and two toddlers in the house at the time. I had him invite her to stay the night, and invite her back over whenever she left. For days I hoped for something more than "tickle" or "joke" or "chat" or "admire". Nothing. On the last day, the day he died, a casual flirt almost happened again, but he was on the computer. I had almost given up, but this renewed my hope. The kids were studying, the toddlers had learned all their skills and were playing with blocks until they were tired enough to crawl onto their floor blankets and sleep, and the adults were cleaning or making out or something. They don't have jobs, so aside from at least one dream date a day, Seto and Bertram can do whatever they want unless I need them to help one of their kids or the cat. Leonidas. Dorian and Phaedra's present for losing Grandma Mausi, but Phaedra kept rolling "get puppy or kitten", "get puppy", and "get kitten" for days afterwards anyway. So. Remington's lifebar is nearly full. He didn't die at six, so I hoped might last until the next day. At seven or eight, it finally happens. "Relax", but with Remington's picture instead of the bed. He and Steffi are going to skip the flirting and just woohoo. I watch as they walk towards the bedroom. Then, the picture of Remington becomes the Grim Reaper. So, Remington, romance sim and former pizza delivery man, father of three and co-founder of the second newest of the thirteen households of Legacy Valley, died completely faithful to his wife. But not by choice. The younger twins are children now. I gave Melitta some nifty leopard-pattern glasses and a custom hairstyle by Nouk, and one of the jeans/tanktop H&M outfits. Hrisoula has a yellow and pink dress from . . . Freetime, maybe, and a sort of '60s flip hairstyle by Raon Sims or something similar. Melitta is cute, especially with glasses, but Hrisoula is amazing. My heart might break if she grows up ugly. Still, I haven't had an ugly Hollis female, and the only iffy Go female is only iffy because her alien genetics thinned out her face. Anzu, Seto's twin, is quite cute. Bertram's younger sister, Rosina, is pretty. Seto's not at all bad himself. Bertram is . . . iffy. I'd say ugly, but he's grown on me. Anyway, I haven't killed a sim for being ugly since The Sims 1. I'm too eager to see how their features will mix with another random person. I wrote some more of chapter 13 of my horrible fanfiction, but it's not long enough. Around 630 words. I'm tempted to revise the previous chapters now and re-upload them all in less chapters with more words, with this one on the end of the last one, but . . . I like where the last one stops. I can't add more after that bit. This would have to be a new chapter anyway. So, I'll save all that for the end. I want toast, but I don't know what to put on it that won't be too sweet. If it's too sweet, the tea won't taste sweet enough. I bought blackberry preserves that were on sale for a dollar less than usual, and that's about what I pay for the brand I usually get that doesn't have a blackberry option, so I got it, but it's loaded with sugar. I'm trying to eat it quickly so I can buy the kind I like better. I also need more Devon cream. I have lemon curd, but that's pretty sweet, and I don't think it would really go with this tea. Not right now. Last cup, by the way. It filled three mugs, including varying amounts of milk. I also have Nutella, which is very sweet, and honey, which is also very sweet. Blackberry toned down with cream would have been great. Screw it, I'll just have blackberry.
