With the promise, or at least a sort of promise, of not having to finish this soap opera called high school I'm finally starting to put my plan into action. Later this summer I hope to take the GED exam. It's the equivalent to a high school diploma...at least in the eyes of most employers. This way I'll be able to start my life one year earlier than what was to be expected. This exam was originally made for drop outs that couldn't go back to high school but it's also for those like me who just find school extremely boring!!!! I don't see the point of sitting in a desk for eight hours listening to teachers lecture on things I already know. Then they accuse me of being stupid when I'm caught day dreaming or don't turn in the 3214657651657654687654 problems I had to do for homework. This test is also good for avoiding all the drama that happens in the hallways!! No more of this "My boyfriend of two days just dumped me!!! My life isn't worth living with out him!" OH! and the best part is NO MORE CROWDS!!!!!!! When I'm gone away from that tiny cramped building I'll be able to breath again.

There is one HUGE drawback of me taking this test and that is I don't know when I'll be able to see my friends. I love them all to death and am willing to die for them but how can I remain close to them while doing what I think is best? Am I selfish for wanting to do this? I mean it wouldn't be the end of the world if I had to stay in school but I really don't see the point anymore. I'll talk about it more with my friends, teachers, councilors, those type of people.
