Okay, here's where the weird tie comes in... That last intro I posted is a book that this character was writing for a different role play... {See last journal entry}
In this role play there is a haunted chapel on campus that no one ever used... Kai usually goes there for inspiration for her book, before some other crazy crap happened, thus the 'haunted' part kicks in... Anyway, here's the full length intro...
“{Elowease. Elowease. Elowease.}
A demon forever trapped in the corrupted world, never to go to heaven. Never will she have faith in this “God” that was supposed to welcome her at the golden gates. {What is Elowease?}
Always alone, cold as stone. Sandstone wings sprouted from a smooth carved back clothed in a robe, gray as her skin. Shoulder length hair that was never supposed to blow in the wind sprouted from her small head. Child like eyes that were always supposed to be soft.
{It is your name now dear girl}
Small smooth hands that were never to let loose the grasp of a harp. Little feet that were never to take a step.
{Why am I different from you? Your skin, is not rough and made of stone, I am… different.}
The girl who was carved from stone with pointed ears, a harp at hand and small devilish horns sprouting from her hair. Thin stone vertebrae stretched across carved rock bones created demon like wings. A face that is soft to the look but sand paper rough to the touch. A robe covered her whole 7-year-old figure.
{I made you, carved you from the finest sand stone with my own hands. Then, I brought you alive.}
Her whole figure and everything on her person would never age, for it was all made of the same, gray stone.
{But the problem is, I can’t make you die.}
But her mind has developed beyond that, for now she realizes how long she must suffer threw her eternal life.”
Kate, or Kai as she often referred to herself as, smiled, pleased with the introduction to her narrative which had been printed in carved lettering on the back of the book.
It wasn’t published yet but maybe if she aced the English ‘Make a Myth’ Assignment she could publish it. //Then her whole career would blossom!// Pft… She snorted, remembering the teacher’s words. It would take more than one good piece of work and one published book to make a career. And… it would also take writing skills… Pft… She sighed this time, upset with the writers block that clouded her head like sticky cotton candy that was stuck to her brain. Nothing would sound right! Everything was too blunt or too cliché’ or just plain stupid as hell! ‘What you need is inspiration…’ That’s what her English teacher would say. Inspiration for a ghost/fantasy/mystery/suspensefulness fable that had to be done and turned in a week.
Then it hit her Haunted Chapel + Horror book = Total inspiration! Right? Wrong… She’d been there a few times already, instead of finding inspiration she found a quiet eerie place to sit and type in the silence. It was beautiful. Without other people there, there was almost no sticky cotton candy!
So, with only a half done book, a part way plot and a note book and pen Kai walked to the chapel, wanting a place to clear her head and write.
