You all have probably gotten really bored of my stupid journal entries, but this one should be more, um, ninja more sophisticated...
I wrote this poem about the homeless for school...er...hope you all like it... sweatdrop
I sit here on this rusty, mold-incrusted bench
Behind me is a tangled forest I call home
In front of me is a highway, overflowing with cars
Colors blur and blend in a booming façade of horns
People are racing home to their warm, lit houses,
While I sit here wondering what it must be like
To have a home, a bed, and a welcoming family
But I remind myself that I don’t need all of that
Though I look at these loud, crowded streets
My vision is so bad I can barely see five feet in front of me
I need glasses, which I can’t afford
I can’t make money because no one wants to hire a high school drop-out
Free food can be found in those so-called “homeless shelters”
Those folks aren’t as nice as they seem
The have cruel, glaring eyes that invisibly puncture my skin
But I’m just fine with eating out of dumpsters
Only when it gets cold there isn’t as much food
They say homeless people are all drunks and addicts
I’m not, I just have no where to go
Mama abandoned me once I left, and Daddy’s dead
So you could say we homeless are different, but I’m just like you
I just have no one who wants me there
...um...Please comment...and don't forget to...
