Another hot topic among teenagers... VIRGINITY! *applause*
So I was taking a bath the other day, thinking about a conversation I had with a close friend. She had told me that she wanted to save herself for marriage. I'm a guy, I can tell you without the slightest doubt that 60% of the male population have sex before they get married, 25% simply can't get a girl before they get married (my sympathies) and the last 15% are just gays.
It is a very admirable thing, don't get me wrong, but is it really worth it? Some girls get so into it that they wear freakin chastity belts..... damn, doesnt' that... like... itch? Anyway, here's another scenario: You're a girl, you meet a guy, you fall in love with the guy, the guy will obviously want to have sex with you, and you say "Not until we are married." To tell you the truth, the guy might run away but let's just imagine he says "ok." A couple of weeks pass, money spent on preparations, and then you get married. Finally, you get to have sex with the guy you love. Here's when life goes bitchy on you. It turns out, the guy completely sucks at having sex.... congrats! You have just married yourself to the 40 yr old virgin and you can't have decent sex EVER cause you wanted to save yourself to marriage. So tell me, is it worth it now? Sure, you might say, the important thing is that I love him and he loves me..... yea, try telling me that 5 yrs later.
In conclusion, saving yourself to marriage is nice and all but be careful with what you wish for. I'll be completely honest, I won't save myself till I get married BUT if I lose my virginity....*cough* I will lose it to someone I care about and if I'm lucky, I might marry the girl or if we brake up.... then I'll just keep living life until I find the one.
