STAR CROSSED LOVERS

So close but yet so far,
my desires may never be realized,
my most selfish wants may never be conceived,
I sit in the shadows waiting,
not invisible, but not the center of attention,
Hopelessly in love with the thought,
of the unattained confection,
of your undivided attention,
Dreaming day and night,
of your your luminous face,
and mystifying eyes,
Knowing that I am too,
your true desire,
Destined to meet,
but seperated by fate,
for we are star-crossed lovers.
