Beating
Something in my chest starts to thud,
The pain i feel is getting worse,
Burning feeling through my body,
For days i feel this pain.
When it stops I am reborn,
Senses enhanced by just one moment,
My memory's faded when I was that,
Now the images will last forever,
My heart has stoped,
And my body grew cold,
I now live in an eternal night.
Searching for something i do not know,
Looking for someone i long for,
The smell of it makes me hungry,
My instincts tell me to hunt,
But I cannot hurt the one i love,
Without them i have no meaning,
Even if it means my death for their survival.
