I almost have everything I ordered.
I got all but one of my packages today, but I should have gotten all of them. QI and The High Life were in my mail box. I checked Stamps.com to see if my Pear Tree Pens package had arrived. The site says it "arrived at unit" a few minutes past 8 a.m. But I was awake at that time. I was waiting for a plumber to come fix my mother's toilet, and I didn't know when they would come. I put the cats in my bathroom around 9 a.m. so they would be out of the way, but before that I was waiting in the living room just in case. See, the maintenance people have keys and are allowed to let themselves in, and I wanted to be where I could hear anyone knocking on the door so I could tell them to wait and then put the cats up. No one knocked on my door until around 9.30, and that was the plumber. From almost 8 until almost 9, I played Pacman and Sonic 2 on the Wii. Maybe the delivery person arrived at these apartments, but they did not knock on my door. The next status report is something like "undeliverable at address given," and it's from around noon. What? Did they wander around for four hours trying to find it? An apartment on the first floor of one of the first buildings? Did they hardly look at all, leave to deliver other things, and claim they couldn't find it when they got back to their office at noon? Or, which seems more likely, was the address smudged? They obviously went somewhere, but maybe they couldn't read the apartment number, or maybe they went to the wrong place completely. And what did they do with my package? Usually when I don't get something, the delivery people give it to whoever is in the office and report it as delivered. I didn't get online until after the office closed, so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to ask there. What if Stamps.com still has my package and plans to deliver it again tomorrow? And then I go to the office to ask about it while it's being delivered again at my apartment. That would be great, wouldn't it? Hopefully, it's either at the office or it will be delivered again at the right place. I will be waiting outside the door at 8 a.m. I NEED MY CONVERTERS AND SAMPLE INKS. I already have plans for which inks go in which pens. So anyway. I watched the first disk of QI. I was in the middle of the pilot episode in the special features section when the new episode of Ghost Hunters came on. I think I may die laughing. I almost don't want to watch the second disk, because then it will be over until the second series is on DVD. Of course, I am going to watch it when Ghost Hunters International is over, and then I'm going to watch The High Life. I'm not sure that it's an official copy, though. It looks close, but the printing is all rather low quality, "Region 1" seems to be a bit sloppily added to the disk and cover, and the DVD itself has a purple tint. The picture quality, while much better than Youtube, isn't quite as good as a typical DVD. It's more like an old tape. It has to be good enough, though. It's the only option. My DVD player seems to be able to handle anything, besides HD and Blu-ray, of course, so that's not a problem. I didn't sleep last night because I was watching the bee suit extermination in the GCD. And voting at Threadless, and checking LiveJournal, and checking MySpace, and looking around for random things, of course. I'm rarely just on one website. Oh, and I used up some of my fishing bait at one point, and I went bug catching in towns. Now, the towns hacking. All I saw was text. A conversation. That's it. It wasn't even in my way. The posts I saw made it look like a big deal. Oh, Ghost Hunters is over, time for more QI.
