New quote for the day: "Never let your persistence and passion turn into stubbornness and ignorance." - Anthony J. D'Angelo
Whew! It's been a while since I last wrote in my journal. Summer has been doing wonders, as I can now return to uninteruppted gaming time! Lately I've been playing a lot of "World of Warcraft" on my pc and the break is wonderful.
I've also entertained the thought of continuing the comic I had been working on and maybe even post it on the internet. If I decide to I very well may put the recent strips in my journal (For all you peeps who feel the need to read my entries. rolleyes )
As for other news, I went to the "Luling Watermelon Thump" (Festival) yesterday and had a blast! There were carnival rides (I'm a sucker for rides that flip around and move quickly, e.i. rollar coasters.) booths, and a mueseum in the town that I visited. It was really hot that day and I had the misfortune of buying a chicken fajita that turned out to have some really spicy peppers in it... Luckily there was a stand nearby that sold cups of watermelon slices.
Predicatably I ran into yet another salesman who tried to jip me, though this time it was one that sold Indian merchandise. I wanted to buy this bone necklace that looked cool... and the person wanted ten dollars for it. I eventually bought it anyway, but the lady wouldn't leave me alone, spouting something about the necklaces having magical properties and that if the animal it resembles is your "spirit animal" then you will be at peace- stuff like that. She even said it in this creepy "mystical" tone, and I was having the hardest time keeping a straight face.
Anyway, I'll probably start studying again next month so that I can refresh my memory for next school year. I was recommended by my French teacher so that I may go on to the next level of the subject (I think I was the only one passing that class, and I had a 100. Yes I'm bragging, so what? I worked my butt off!) so I'll want to be familiar with the material. Good thing I took so many notes in my classes. sweatdrop
