I stop in the middle of the rugged woods to catch my breath. How long had I been running? Fealt like forever and a day. Why are they acting in such a barbaric way? I had only wanted something fresh to eat. They raise cows and pigs, feeding them untill they can eat nomore, just to get them ready to be slaughtered. Why is a human so different? What is it that humans posses that cows and pigs do not? Intellagence? I think not. Most people are just as dumb as any animal. The truth is, she needed to die. She was just an accomplis to the rest of the world. She contributed to the destruction of this once beautiful place. She deserved her fate.
After i stoped panting, i glanced back to make sure the towns people weren't still following me and to my releaf, they weren't. I evaluated my surroundings and began walking in the direction towards my home. Questions of why the girl mattered so much ran through my head and that's when paranoia settled in. Every twig that snapped under my trembling feet, every bush that rusled as I walked by made me less at ease. I had never been caught before and I didn't know the towns people would react in such a mannor. I should have stuck with homless people walikng up and down the streets begging for money, food, and shelter, but their blood tasted like an rotten apple. Tart instead of sweet. I wanted fresh, new blood. Something to saticfy my erge, my longing for something better and sweeter to feast apon. A tast I wouldn't forget.
Even so, it was dangerous and a chance I should have never taken. Not only have I endangered my existance, but also the existance of others like me. I endangered not one, but many lives all for just one moment of sweetness running over my lips and down my throught. It was a selfish move I never should have taken. Who knows what my friends will think of me now.
I reached the steps of my home. I looked up at the front entary way and just staired at it like it was some new concept I had to grasp. After a moment or so of stairing at the door, I realized I had dropped my purse in horror as the towns people made their way towrds me with their wepons. I then sighed as I went around to the back of the house and searched for the spare key.
Imediatly after entering, I hung my coat on the coat rack that stands right inside my door and make my way to my bed room. Climbing the stairs, I think about him and what he thinks ofme now. I know what he thinks. He thinks what everyone else thinks. I'm a monster and a muderer. What person wouldn't think of me as such? It's only the truth. I didn't ask for this. It was forced on me against my will. I was created by someone else. Someone who didn't give a ******** about my life. So i'm forced to move from city to city. I have no permanent resting place. I can't stay in one spot. Eventualy someone finds out and it's hell all over again. Is there any escape?
I reach my bedroom door and open it, entering my room as I slam it shut behind me. I look up to find him staning right infront of me, wating for me to come home.
"I've been wating for you", he says in his soft sweet voice.
"Have you now? Come to kill me like the rest of them?," I replied sternly, unsure of what would happen.
He shook his head,"No, not to kill you. To talk to you."
"To talk?," I said as I crossed the room to my bed and sat down.," About what? About what I did?"
I hung my head. I wasn't proud of what I had done. Taking a life doesn't make one feel any better about themselvs.
"Yes," he said as he came closer and sat down with me putting both arms around my sholders."I need to know why you did it," He said as he ran his fingers through my hair.
