I had it when I was about three and remember it well. You only catch it once, but that's not to say you won't encounter it again.
My sister nell was the first to get it, and she's got it really bad. They're all over her body - and I mean everywhere. They're on her back, chest, legs, arms, hands, feet, ears, scalp, face, mouth, throat, armpits and more. They're all blistered and full of histamine.
My other sister tilly probably has it, she's very close to nell. She hasn't come out in pox yet, they take a couple of weeks. She's unwell, though.
My mum reckons she has it. This is perfectly likely: she's never had them before; she feels unwell and is close to nell too.
My dad "can't remeber if he's ******** had them before, but feels like s**t and is exhausted" but he says he feels like that all the time. So far today he has: slept, played video games, watched telly, locked himself in the comuter room and played his guitars. Oh yeah, and has hardly helped at all.
I was woken up at 4:20 by all the screaming and my bedroom lights been flicked on. I looked after tilly who has been bonkers. She is still partly breast-fed and doesn't like being separated from mum for long when mum's in the house. Or at work, whatever. I looked after her until about mid-day, when my dad took over so I could shower and get dressed heart heart heart Then I looked after tilly some more. When my mum came downstairs, I swapped and looked after nell. We talked, read, played a bit. I've been smothering her in EMLA, anti-histamine and calamine. Right now, nell is watching a film, my dad is playing a game and watching telly and my mum and tilly are asleep. So I have some time to myself, and I go on gaia!? Well the computer. Still, I need to get a life.......
