I have been role playing more. I havent rped a pre-made character in... over 5 years I'd have to say. It was different.. I was asked to roleplay as Dark from DNAngel. It was fun portraying such a flamboyent and energetic character but staying true to the character is often difficult when the setting has nothing to do with the character.. or when situations arise that dont follow the flow of the world he is from. -Shrug- All roles have their own difficulties I guess. I am not one to change the personality of a character.. what is the point of rping that character if you dont want to follow that personality?

My other Rp story with my original character is coming to a hault. It has been slow, and losing ground. The setting and base story are not as strong as it has been singing a melodramatic tune for quite some time. (Not a fan of melodrama) I need balance. I can play a serious role, but there has to be light heartedness to balance that out. I feel bad, since it was my first thread.. but I have lost interest. My character hardly acts the way he is supposed to, mainly because I have been rping with a younger gaian x_x Out of respect I had changed some of his traits. sweatdrop
I have made many mistakes in setting all of this up. I promised I wouldnt let the thread die, but honestly I feel like it has been dead for some time. There were times I really wanted to rp, but my character was unable to move on without another character doing something first. I guess it would be childish to dwell on the fact the thread is on life support, so I will wait just a bit to see if we can finish this off and then I will go back to wandering different threads.

I am tired of the stereotype "dark depressing bar/fighting room" threads, I doubt if anyone in those rooms has actually ever "sparred" offline.. sparring doesnt consist of fighting to the death and eating someone's remains for losing a match rolleyes

I mean.. I have sparred so many times, if RPG logic leaked into the real world all students of any martial arts would be walking hollow suits of armor or every studio would have been bulldozed and turned into a massive grave site... not to mention there would be rampant cannibalism.. stare
