This is a sequel to my last entry, if you will. I'm a bit more sane as I'm not bored at this time, but I think I might explain Lyra a little more clearly to you guys. She's kind of like a muse, kind of like a character- she can be indecisive. I'm going to put an FAQ about her. Questions in bold, answers regular.
What is Lyra?
Lyra is a sort of muse/character, taking the shape of a sphinx. I don't think she can shapeshift. She's almost as mysterious as the other perpetually happy nameless muse in my head, always making me want to write fluff, humor, and happy stories. Lyra isn't very cooperative though- she seems to be difficult.

1. That isn't a question. 2. Lyra is not used in my fiction as of yet. So...she can't be a Mary Sue. So there. blaugh 3. She's not intended to be.
Does Lyra like fanmail?
As much I'd appreaciate fanmail (not that I will ever deserve any), Lyra hates it. She hates people in general, and likes shredding fanmail. Maybe that is why I never recieve any.
What does she like to eat?
Lyra has a disgusting habit of drinking, er, blood. Ew. It's because she's part cat, and pretty much only bird blood. She likes birds and fish, and miso soup, though she denies her love for it.
Is she nice?
Try sadistic, try menacing, try cruel. She's mean. crying She hurts the nameless muse.
So, what fiction has she inspired you to write?
She basically doesn't help. sweatdrop But she is a nice little helper for Azula's part. Man I love writing Azula! And Ty Lee and Mai. Toph is so difficult to write though. Wonderful character, extremely hard. Earthbending is one factor. Blindness another. Stories from her point of view are really, really challenging.
A sphinx stepped into a grand room she usually spent time sunning herself and getting fanned in, and her white teeth glinted in the sunlight the filtered in from the large windows.
Yes, this is a pitiful little Lyra snippet. I always imagine Lyra getting fanned. Terribly written, but within five seconds...Just to see how well I could attempt Lyra. Heehee.
What clothes do she wear?
Oh.my.goodness. She has the body of a cat- it's orange with a golden tint to it, a bit like Milky the cat. He's my kitty! *hugs* I've never pictured her wearing clothes, sorry... sweatdrop
Is she in love with/related to/friends with/in any way affiliated with the big sphinx in Egypt?
Nope, the are both sphinxes, but she doesn't look the same. She doesn't know him, sorry- not that I know of. My friend used to think that. She was wrong.
How is her name pronouced?
Finally, a practical question! Her name is pronounced like the word "Leer" and the word "uh". It may differ from other pronounciations, such as "Lie" "ru" (as in rust). I'm also American, so I am not to blame for other pronounciations. Do not sue me. Please. stare
Can we hear from her?
Okay. (italics is what Lyra is making me say)
Pft. Imbecile. You really think I want to talk to you? Yeah, sure, I'm this cool muse from a creative mind. Not. My kind has been shunned by you stupid humans. We all hate you. I have no wish to speak to you- and it's irratating. You'd have better luck with that weirdo idiot I share living quarters with. Ayame, halt the conversation. I refuse to continue. I'm still writing what you say down. blaugh *slashes*OW! Stop that!You're going to get more if you don't stop recording. OW! She's really painful. Stop biting! gonk No, stop recording what I say.
