Yee-haw! It's story time!
"Boo . . . not another story." "I hate your stories."
Shadaap! DD< I'm tellin' a story whether you like it or not. Actually, it's not really a story, but a story about a story that within a story. Confusing, no? Well, yes, that's my new story. Naomi Faye Halifax (cool name, huh? ;D) is a writer. She writes and writes and writes. Why? Because she's the Gothic girl in school which means she doesn't fit in well and she doesn't even hardly belong in her family. So she writes. And she became this big star (under the penname Mimi Cunningham, of course, because she doesn't want anyone in school to go crazy over it) after she got the first book of The Blood Saga published by winning a writing contest. The book was so well loved that they wanted the second book.
Naomi couldn't write the second book . . . until she "found" Ace Matthias Blood, her leading male.
Now here's something interesting of Naomi: she has a very overactive imagination. Her mind conjures up ghost-like images of the characters and she converses with them on a daily basis. That's how she writes her stories. Therapy suggested it. So the night she received a big check and a letter for the second book, Naomi went walking the streets, dreading the challenge of another book, when her "imagination" was acting up again. Down in the alley was her very own Ace Matthias Blood, the vampire that started it all. Little did she know that he's a real vampire.
Question is: does she ever find out?
Naomi goes on writing out her entire saga thinking the solid image that follows her through the night and stays in her room is just another part of her imagination. And her family never finds out because she's just that "skilled" to actually throw herself into her own stories and think up a way to keep a monster concealed. How would you do it? Easy ways, of course. And "Ace," over time, had fallen in line with the part. He liked being that character in her mind. He liked the feeling of belonging again--he liked the idea of her belonging to him. Hence he's so jealous of the love interest, Jared Levy.
Ah yes, always the love interest. But Jared is a cool guy, so I'm not complaining this time around.
So . . . I guess that'd be all. Sad thing is, procrastination gets in my way of doing anything. Procrastination of what? Depression--loneliness. Weird mood swings that come and go . . . but haven't gone.
They have to go.
