Months had passed since Ryuu-san's tradgic incident. He soared in the sky where he was safe, occasionaly looking back at his meeting ground with hebi-san. Letting out sighs, nothing was going to change when he overlooked the place he once so enjoyed.
Ryuu-san could not get his argument off his mind. being miishivous himelf, he decided to fly lower to the other zodiac animals to see what they had thought. For everyone on the land knew the foolish story of Ryuu-san. He passed many from the snake zodiac family, where he was only to be discovered and hated.
"Go back to the sky dragon." hissed a male snake
"Your wings cant make promises to anyone, fool. They only please yourself." scoffed another male snake.
Ryuu-san turned his back and let out a sigh that took form of a flame. He knew he had listened to the male snakes long enough, and he noticed that that he could not compare to them. He once again took flight in hope to find some comforting words. Hours passed and none of the animals were in sight. He halted in his pass as he heard a familiar voice he missed so... But there was another. Ryuu-san flew high as to not be detected by those who were conversing. he looked down only to see Hebi-san. The other was ryuu-san's companion oushi-san. Being superior in strength and heart, Oushi-san was the only one who was able to reach Ryuu-san by being able to traverse grand mountains by himself. At mountain tops he would feel close to Ryuu-san and watch his moves in peace. Notifying ryuu-san's 2 targets, he listened closely what they had to say... He knew it was wrong, he knew that this would soon bite him in the tail when he least expected it... But he continued, only to hope he would hear sorrow for his dissappearance, but alas his wishes were still in the sky and they could never reach the earth.
"Ryuu-san never wanted to live on the earth with me," sighed Hebi-san, "he would make promises to come visit, but his promises soon grew old and I knew he was only avoiding me."
"I can't believe Ryuu-san would say such things..." belowed Oushi-san in his strong voice, "I guess he is not as strong hearted as I..."
Ryuu-san felt his wings being eaten from within. he looked away from the 2 knowing they grew strong as he grew weaker. He dared not cry... his pride as a dragon would not let him... He swallowed deep and clentched his teeth and watched below. They were laughing, and bonding... What hurt him most was Hebi-san, who slithered along with others as if she had never met the being from the sky. He had heard and seen enough... He returned to the clouds where all could see him. He was again envied by others for his ability. Ryuu-san smiled on the outside, for dragons could show no disapointment... but inside his flame was dying. He lay down on his cloud only to realize his wishes still had not reached the floor. he swept his tail to make them vanish, but they would only reappear, for they were his deepest thoughts.
"Most of the earth is captivated by my spell... but thhe few who dispise me out number them..." he sighed as he fell asleep.
And so he fell asleep, with the earth that hated him below, and the sky that whispered the thoughts of those he did not wish to hear...
