La Poema:The Journal of a Poet, a Lover, and a Lost Soul
hahahahaha! You have entered my journal! The journal of a poet, a lover, and a lost soul if you haven't figureed that out already!! Have fun!
My Opinion
Happy Memorial Day....a day to honor those who have served and died for our country. Who have died to make sure the people of today are FREE!

In my opinion....those veterans up there in heaven must be shaking their heads at what The US has become today. The United States is not....the land of the free or land of equality if people must SNEAK IN to get their freedom...to get a job THEY WANT! Now...I know there are plenty of good reasons on why this is the land of freedom and equality. They can probably cover pages upon pages! But what is it....just...words. Not actions. Not actions. Back during the Watergate scandal Americans, us....WE got our rights defiled. Tapping phones? I mean...it was a while ago but COME ON!

Why war? Why can't we talk anything out PEACEFULLY? I mean..come one....who wants to die?! Even if it is serving the land you love most...is it fair for us to send solders to Iraq to just...die..and not let them see their families every again? Is that fair? I don't think it is.

This is a very opinionated journal entry, if you have a problem with this don't just start yelling and criticizing me cause I have a different point of view please, I beg if you have something to say...don't yell...don't call names.....offer your point of view PEACEFULLY

Now....as I was saying..I may be only 16...but what they show on the news. They show people DIEING......dieing...I don't think that is what the US wants to see.

Now I say US and not America....is because if I called the US america, then I would be referring to...well....every country that resides in the America's. God Bless America? Aren't they talking about our country...the US? why call it America. We aren't the continent!

Thank you for reading my point of view. Whats yours?

It would be nice if everything could be worked out through peace talks, but sadly people desire power, and will do anything to keep that power. Most soldiers are led to believe that their way of life is the correct way and if they don't fight for it they are worthless and living a false life. Fanaticism, when said soldiers turn martyr and attack any that oppose their way of life. It doesn't make things easy and sometimes the only way to work things out is through brute force.
Not to say what we are doing in Iraq is the right thing to do, but we can't just pull out halfway through. It's a fake war, hiding all the secret agendas of the Bush Regime.
Yes, I said Regime, because he's as bad as Saddam.

The news is Biased, they show what they think the people want to see and what will make people more on our side. They show our soldiers dying, or civilians dying, they don't show the other side, they don't show from an Iraqi's perspective. That is where the history and travel channel come in. That is why so many journalists get payed good money to go to these countries in the middle of war. People want to know the truth. The truth hurts, but it is one of the only ways to open the eyes of the ignorant.

The US is not free. In these later decades, we've lost rights, and said sense of freedom. The government, thought subtly, does suppress the people. Wiretapping, and the corrupt Justice System(Did you know that 90% of innocent people are usually found guilty on their first trial?).

But in Honor of Memorial day, I Salute our fallen heroes. Those that fight not for the country, but for the people. The families, and the rights that were established long ago. Those that fight so that the less fortunate do not have to. I salute you.
