• Description: I wrote this shortly after I broke up with my boyfriend. The reason why I wrote was because my friend also got dump by their signifagant other. They were so depressed, that they wouldn't even talk. They wouldn't laugh. I tried to tap into what they were feeling by writing the poem. But my sister thinks that I'm depressed about my break up. Please tell me if you a gree with her and I'm depressed, or that I am trying to feel for a friend

The boy, he left me
He was the one from my dreams
The Prince Charming of time
The only one I could love.

Now he's gone
Gone; what does that mean?
Will he be gone for a week?
A month? A year?
Gone forever, maybe?

How could he do this to me
Just leave with the most painful goodbye
Left like he didn't say...
I loved him, i gave him my heart
He took it, shattered it, tore it,
with a look of evil, pure evil,

As i pick up the pieces
Of my broken heart
I still feel the warth of his hugs,
The brightness of his smile,
His lips against mine
How was i to know that it was all a lie

Now it's all over, gone, poof!
He, me, everything
Dissappaered, now and forever
I can't believe how something so beautiful
Can just go in a second and forever

I would say by reading this poem, no one who was just trying to tap something could do that, therefor it seems you as well had been upset for your own breakup. But you put in extra effort to try and see into the perspective of your friend as well.

I would think that you're both upset about your break up and you're trying to feel for your friend, like if you were trying to say to her you are not alone.
