Well, they did it. Uniforms are official.
And they're crap too. We get to go and buy out own s**t,
because the school is too damn cheap. =/
It was approved a few days ago.
Even though they're holding another meeting on it in a few days to hear opinions, they're not actually going to change anything based on those opinions.
And it's parents only. We students don't have a say in any of this, which is stupid because we're the ones that have to WEAR this stuff.
I mean good God, we're smarter and more mature than they give us credit for.
We're old enough that we should be able to speak our opinions too.
So... this is how it goes.
- tan/khaki pants
- skirts, shorts, skorts, or jumpers in either tan or navy. no black, period.
- polo shirts, collared blouses and shirts, or turtlenecks in navy, white, gold (more like school-bus yellow), or red.
- no denim
- all articles of clothing must be one solid color.
- no logos or emblems on the polos, unless it is the school emblem.
That's all they have so far.
It's so... stupid. Could they have picked any uglier colors?
I mean, those colors are fine. But not together. Just... no.
And why red? The school colors are black and gold.
Red is the color of our rival school, in fact. Red and white.
Oh yeah, we're showing school spirit all right... for the wrong school.
Oh, the irony. XD
So... I'll probably be wearing nothing but white, tan and navy next year,
because I refuse to wear the other colors. Just, no way.
I was hoping they would allow black. I know a place to get nice black dress pants that would be perfect for this.
But... no black. Even though it's a very classy, professional color.
I thought they wanted professional. Isn't that why they're doing this s**t? =/
Oh, no. Wait.
They're doing it because they're too damn lazy to enforce their current dress code.
And, as they put it, to eliminate the "fashion statements".
Oh GOD FORBID! We're not all fricken' the same! =o
We have our own opinions and personalities?
Oh noez, what ever is this world coming to!?
And... seriously. Jumpers? Turtlenecks? Skorts?
WTF, mate? =/
What decade are they living in?
They'll probably attack shoes next. I'll beat somebody if they ban heels.
And if they go after jewelery... I'll find my way around that.
Maybe I'll wear a cross or something to school from then on. And if they try to take it from me, go on some big religious rant and make a scene. X3
I was in a good mood today too.
Spring break's finally here. My research paper is FINALLY finished and turned in.
Then I gor this paper... and it just totally ruined my day.
