~~summary~~ What happens when you can't stand cleaning and go to the movies with Sora instead? Well, of course, it has its draw-backs. Like, Riku spying on you...that's gotta be interesting...
~~STORY~~ You sighed and looked out over the calm, blue ocean. It was unusually calm for a Sunday; people should’ve been running about, getting cleaning finished before Monday. Ah, well. So long as you couldn’t beat your Fullmetal Alchemist game, there was nothing better to do. Wind blew across your face, rustling your hair slightly before you jumped off the tree. ‘Well,’ you thought, ‘I might as well get some cleaning done…’ The truth was that you didn’t want Sora to think that your house was a total mess, which it was. You trudged along the beach, watching your footprints fade into the sand. All was serene and perfect until Riku ran, full speed. Man, words could not describe your hate for that guy. Of course, he did act like a sort of older brother. Also his never ending nagging on how you and Sora would make the cutest couple. What a bunch of nonsense… “(Y/N)!” You slowly turned to look him in the eyes. “Yes, Onii-san?” As I said, like an older brother. He grinned and ruffled your hair. “Gotten to your cleaning yet? I’m planning on doing mine this afternoon.” “No. I’ll probably let my mom do most then go back and help finish.” You frowned slightly. “But I’m going to see Sora first…” You braced yourself for the never-ending nagging. “Aww! You guys make the cutest couple, you know?” You rolled your eyes and continued on my walk across the beach to Sora’s house. When you arrived, Sora’s mom welcomed you in, offering you tea and cookies. “Yes, Ma’am, thank you.” She nodded happily and led you to Sora’s room. “He’s finishing his homework.” She whispered, not noticing your blush as you reached for the doorknob. “Alright, I’ve got to get some cleaning done, so it’ll take a while for the cookies.” You nodded. “It’s alright, I can wait.” His mother scampered off to do some cleaning, most likely in the kitchen. You opened the door and found Sora on his bed, finishing homework. He looked up and smiled when you entered. “Hello, (Y/N)!” You grinned and giggled. “Still working on homework?” “Yeah, I can’t figure out how many times you could cut a paopu fruit without it losing its magical abilities…” You laughed aloud. “I didn’t get that one, either! It would depend on how big it is! I guessed and answered 25,000!” He soon joined in on the laughter. Not only did your teacher give you the stupidest and most un-logical homework, but when you guessed on them you always got a 100! Sora quickly wrote down the number. “So…what’d you come to see me for?” You stopped to think for a moment, trying to recall what you did come for. “Oh, yeah!” You snapped your fingers. “They’re showing a movie called ‘Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children’, wanna go?” Sora looked at his homework. He had just finished and didn’t want to be around when his mom got into ‘cleaning mode’. “Yeah, love to!” As you both walked out the door Sora called out, “MOM! (Y/N) and I are going to the movies. Be back before dinner!” Sora’s mom said something like, “make sure you’re wearing clean underwear!” or something embarrassing like that. “Two tickets, please!” The man at the ticket booth handed you two tickets. “Enjoy!” You smiled and nodded with pleasure. “Sora, can you get the popcorn, please?” You asked handing him some munny. “Oh…uh…sure.” He blushed as he took the munny from your hand. “I’d be happy to…” “Alrighty then! I’ll find the seats! Here’s your ticket!” You handed him your ticket and took off for the movie theater. Sora looked at the ticket and sighed. He turned around and got into line at the popcorn place…thing… ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You waved for Sora to come up three more rows. He did, and handed you the popcorn. He smiled when you nearly dropped the popcorn all over your lap. “What? I’m clumsy!” You whine, barely catching the bag. “I know. The whole island knows…” You poked him in the nose and grinned. Of course this was a little out of character for you, but you were nervous, and when nervous, people do stupid things. Sora plopped down on the chair beside you, setting the coke in the cup holder and placing two straws in the lid. You looked slowly to him. “One…coke?” Sora rubbed the back of his head, embarrassed. “I…uh…ran out of munny…” You rolled your eyes and were about to comment on how you could’ve bought your own drink, when the lights dimmed and you could hear people shushing everyone around them. Little did you and Sora know, but a certain brother like figure was watching you two from about four rows up. Riku smiled mischievously and leaned back in the chair, ready for a show, but not the sponsored show he had paid seven-hundred munny for, but the show no man could ever enjoy more than himself. “Get ready; Riku,” he murmured to himself, “it’s going to be the show of a life time!” You looked around. For some odd, odd reason it felt like you were being watched…by someone you hated…but who? “Um…hey, (Y/N)?” Sora whispered in your ear. His warm breath echoed down your ear, making you shiver slightly and blush. “Y-yes, Sora?” You asked, holding your breath. “Can you pass the popcorn?” You sighed and handed over the popped corn. ~~~Halfway through the movie~~~ “I still don’t get how that guy…Kadaj…can be so obsessed with his mom. I mean, it’s kinda creepy…” Sora nodded in agreement. “Yeah, and that Tifa girl is WAY out of proportion.” You smiled slightly and continued to gaze and the brainwashing screen. How big was that thing?! Seriously! It was like a hundred feet both ways! You glared at Loz as he entered the screen. Who couldn’t hate that guy? You leaned down to sip the drink and found Sora’s lips already atop the same straw. You, of course, didn’t notice this until AFTER your lips crashed onto his. A blush was shared by the two of you, though, you didn’t move away. You sat in that position for a little while before Sora, with some difficulty, removed his lips. “Sora…I’m sorry—” You couldn’t finish your apology due to the fact that it’s hard to do that when Sora’s lips are completely covering yours in the first kiss either of you ever had. Sora laid his hand on your cheek and pulled his lips from yours. You gasped slightly at the loss of something you longed for since the age of six. “Please…don’t…” You whimper. Sora tried to hide a smile as you kissed you again. Riku gave a silent laugh of victory. “Well, I’d better give him that paopu I’ve been savin’ for years just for him to share with her.” He chuckled. This was the most precious moment of your life…the moment you were with Sora…receiving your second kiss, which , you had to admit was a little better than the first and the accident. “Sora…?” “Yes, (Y/N)?” “I love you…” Sora smiled softly. “Dido.” Riku smiled as broadly as anyone could. His two best friends loved each other, and they were happy.
