Winterguard show did NOT go well last night. While we were doing our little dance and spinning and all that, the music we were doing it to SKIPPED. It suddenly turned off and we were all FTW? So, we kept doing it without the music, but then, which made it even worse- the music came back on!!! And there were spins that came with the music, so we had to stop, listen, and remember what spins came with where the music was. The recoveries were good, but I mean, seriously, when something like that happens, there's really nothing you can do. And it happend FOUR TIMES!!! The last time, none of us knew the music because we had only had it for about a week, so we kept going without having the work (spins) match up with the music. Finally, we came to the pose (a lunge) that we went into just before we did the final spin (a suquential- when a person/group goes first, then another person... all on different counts). My friend and I were to go first and, because my friend was in front, it all depended on her. Should she keep going or wait for the musical cue? As I was walking towards her, I was praying that she would just wait, and she did! ( biggrin ) We held the lunge until we were cued to do otherwise.
At the end of the show, my instructor was P-Oed. He went storming up to the guy that was in control of the music. Grrrr... And my friend that decided to hold the pose was crying. She didn't know that what she did was right. So, I hugged her and bothered her about being proud of her for the rest of the day. heart
