080. Relaxed
Somewhere someone is making important, world-moving decisions; the most France is making is whether or not to call Guadeloupe back (he does not, because though she is the most beautiful, most vibrant of his procurates she is also the most dizzying and he can't handle her at this hour of the night) . Head nestled as if his stomach is a pillow is Spain, making soft sleep noises and twitching, every so often. France flips his phone closed, moves his head (comfortable, resting on Prussia's thigh) to look at the mop of brown that bobs in time with his breath.
He is surprised, almost, is surprised to be surprised. The skin crossed with scars, some ancient and tight across his neck, his calves, others newer, fresh from the scab; the skin France has always wanted to conquer but never has, it shows in little glimmers, teasing brushes from a dancer's perfume-fragrant ribbon. It gets him to feeling like a child at times, getting everything but what it wants most. Not a flattering feeling, admittedly; France's heart is suspended on a string. He might think of what could but never will be, might get around to the fondling they're used to, but suddenly Prussia curses in his Prussian way, suddenly smacks his game closed.
"Wanna go get somethin' to eat?" he asks, eyes France in that way. The stare, that crimson stare, that doesn't miss a single detail. France shrugs, but when Prussia is hungry, nothing much will stop him from eating, and they're in Paris; he'd rather take them somewhere good than have to deal with some tourist trap Prussia might settle on. He reaches forward, pulls hard on one of Spain's curls. He wakes with a start before mashing his face into France's shirt , a little grin on his face (I was dreaming about Lovi, he was so nice and it was wonderful... ayay) and France, he smiles, feels his tension melt.
Maybe this is what he loves about Spain; not always his skin, his a**, his broad back like a canvas; maybe he loves this sunny calming spell he casts whenever he opens his mouth and smiles.
