Shaman King ended in December of 2004. They did not have a proper ending. They never did finish the end of the Shaman King manga. That was until 2008.
There is now a reprint of the original Shaman King series but with differences including the addition of new chapters. This is "Kang Zeng Bang". This release reprinted the entire series in 27 volumes complete with new clear image overlays on the covers while concluding with the never-before-published "true ending." There are a total of sixteen new chapters which expanded the chapters' numbers to 300. It also added two chapters showing the fight between Marco and Luchist Lasso which was skipped in the original publication. The first volume was released on March 3, 2008, and volume 27 was published on April 3, 2009.
So if you decided to quit Shaman King because it did not have a proper ending, now is the time to read what you've been missing.
Shaman King also has a sequel now. That is called "Shaman King Flowers" This takes place 10 years after the end of Shaman King Kang Zeng Bang, and focuses on the life of Hana in his teenage years.
There are also some side stories: * Funbari no Uta * Mappa-Douji * Relax * Snakes Legs
I am so glad that Hiroyuki Takei decided to finish Shaman King. I have been a fan of Shaman King ever since 2003, when it aired on the Fox Box. From then on, I've been obsessed with it. Many people have moved on to other animes, and I would like to make Shaman King well known again.
( I would like to find more Shaman King cosplayers around Gaia too! )
So tell me, how many of you finished Shaman King? And are you even going to, if you haven't?
I don't get why anyone would dislike this series. I can understand them disliking it because it didn't finish, but I don't think they know about the new chapters now either.
