I am not shitting you at all. This morning I woke up at about 5 in the morning and it was pouring rain. I go back to sleep and hoped it would lighten up before I had to go out at 6:30 to wait for the bus.
I wake up at 5:30 and its still pouring rain. I get ready for school. etc etc...
Take my time downstairs getting ready since I was up earlier for a change
6:30 it was STILL pouring rain. I set on foot outside and my shoes got all wet. D< I hate squishy wet shoes. Not my Airwalks!!!
My mom wasn't going to drive us to school she instead drove us to the bus stop and when she drove us the water was already a good ankle deep in the street.
We get to the stop and my mom parks the minivan in someone's driveway and we watch out the window for the already late bus. And we are literally watching the water rise before our eyes.
Finally the rain lets up and the water in the street is a good knee deep high. (for me being 6'1) The water is halfway up the sidewalk and then someone showing off that they can drive their truck drives by and gets my shoes wet even more. D< !!! So I'm already dreading going to school in squishy shoes. Luckily my mom reassures me that she will bring my other pair. Yay American Eagles. (gotta love payless)
So the bus comes and she can't open the doors because the water would get in. WTF??!! So how the hell do we get on? My brother suggested we climb in through the emergency exit. Which wasn't bad except for the fact I had to walk through knee deep water, worried about ants, and did I mention the water was freezing?
Finally we get there but 20 minutes late to class. But we weren't counted late cause the bus driver called in.
So I spend the first half of school walking in wet squishy shoes till my mom finally comes and brings my American Eagles. Thank God!
So today was strange. Stupid unpredictable Texas weather. D<
