So last night, i was happily typing away when...
BBZZZZTTT!!!!!!!!
Lisa's inner mind theatre: "AAAIIIEEE!!!! ********, a hornet!!"
So, naturally, i jumped off the bed and ran out of the room. After a few moments, however, it was confirmed to actually be an innocent and harmless cricket.
I admit, without my contacts, anything flying around my room freaks me out.
So i attempted to catch the little one and he declined by jumping as is his nature...
but when i cornered him against the edge of the dresser and the wall, his little feet slipped!
and he struggled to stay on the dresser.. he used his forelegs to try to grab on.. but i guess that section of the dresser must've been slippery..
So there he was, dangling, and i knew i had to save him! I would be a terrible Buddhist if i allowed this innocent little thing to die by my carelessness!
I grasped his atenna, the only protruding thing within my reach, but it came out >_< and there he was.. still in peril, and now with only one antenna!
Luckily, i did manage to rescue little Kuriketto.
and i promptly fetched a tupperware bowl for him, with a hole in the cover so he would be able to breath. i had to use a tiny spoon, but i managed to slip water in through the hole so he wouldn't be thirsty.
i set the bowl down on my nightstand so i could keep an eye on him and make sure he was ok.
and that's where he's sitting right now. :3
today, i plan to feed him and release him back into the world~!
Such is the tale of little Kuriketto.
