Alissa's Background story |

{This is her background story so you can get an idea of what she has gone through. I made this OC way before I got into FF, (A character has the same name as a FF character) so don't ask me if I stole the name. *hiss*.}
This is also a bit of a Trinity Blood fanfiction so it follows the same story of how the Crusnik race was created. So for those who are not too far into TB, SPOILERS are in this.
Bio: She was part of the Mars Colonization Project that the first four Crusniks were. She was experimented on as a child and as a result, she has a stronger body than normal humans. She appeared much later than the first four. She has never met them in her life.
Alissa was always a pretty strong and optimistic person but she was often reckless.
During her human life, she was trying to learn sword-fighting. But because of her reckless attitude, she took on others who were a lot stronger than her, just to prove she is different than others. She has gained her strength through trial and defeat. She gained a scar on her arm for every time she was defeated.
She eventually earned her sword after finally gaining the strength worthy for it. That was around the time where she was a little too over-confident. She took on a Methuselah in a battle and was beaten terribly. The scars on her face were part of the result of that battle. This Methuselah left her for dead until she was recovered and given the Crusnik nanomachines. Because of the experiments she has been through, her body was strong enough to accept them.
Alissa was amazed at her new strength but quickly learned that this power came with the price of keeping it under control. She was able to keep it under control for centuries.
Eventually Alissa grew bored of life there and decided to move on and have a better life. So she decided to go to the Earth and she also hoped she would eventually meet the other four as well
At this point in her life, she has grown out of being reckless and started thinking things out before doing something. She knew she would outlive most people, but she made friends and kept close to them anyway. This was something that she thinks was her biggest mistake.
There was one man she grew really close too named Kuro. Kuro's company was his twin brother Zero and his cousins Ayame and Lucrecia. She met them after defeating a few Methuselah that tried to kill them and learned that they were trying to escape their country to Vatican territory where Kuro and Zero hoped their cousins would be safe while they face the ones after them specifically.
She quickly offered to escort them to Rome since she had no where to go in the first place. After a few weeks, they all grew very close, especially Kuro and Alissa. Alissa tried not to become too attached to them because the whole time she had a terrible feeling that she would lose them. Finally she ignored that and became attached to them anyway and was something she should have ever done
One day after a long night, she and Kuro's company were traveling in the darkness of the night. They getting really close to the safety of Rome but sadly though they forgot about the vampire problem and that they lurk in the darkness. The friends were attacked and, seeing no way out, Alissa used the Crusnik to fight off the vampires. But she used her fire abilities and hurt her friends. Ayame and Lucrecia were hiding during the fight but Zero and Kuro were trying to help when Alissa unleashed the Crusnik.
In despair, she left the scene and cursed herself for having these powers. She hated herself and called herself an abomination in the eyes of everyone. Even in human form. She thought that a monster such as her shouldn't exist in the world.
She found that they were alive and she was really happy for not killing them. They forgave her for what happened and accepted her. It was then when she learned that Kuro and Zero were products of experiments that were carried out pre-Armageddon.
Zero was just an enhanced human but Kuro harbored something worse. The experiments on him made him more of a monster than the Crusnik. The experiments gave him the Bacillus found in Vampire blood and Crusnik nanomachines. He was a combination of a Vampire and a Crusnik. The blood mixture, made him thirst for the blood of other Vampires or Crusniks. They are few Crusniks in the world but Alissa is one herself. This part of Kuro was dormant for years but started to awaken and he soon lusted for Alissa’s blood.
One night, while Alissa was asleep, Kuro bit her. Alissa didn’t really understand what happened but she forgave him after finding out more about him. He couldn’t help it and she understood. They grew even closer together. After that incident, Kuro vowed to not make her bleed again. He couldn’t stand to see her hurt, even if it can heal faster than the average human.
For months, Kuro was slowly starting to lose his mind. This part of him wanted Alissa’s blood more and more and finally he couldn’t hold back anymore.
The creature that Kuro was, broke out spontaneously while he was near her and when he was about to say something special to her. Kuro transformed into a creature that resembled a Crusnik and attacked Alissa. She refused to hurt him at all so Zero ended up stepping in to snap him out of it. Kuro was devastated by the blood all over Alissa. When he transformed, he slashed her across the face, giving her deep cuts on her face. She was in pain but she numbed the pain of the wounds but her heart was crushed by seeing him like that. She wasn’t afraid, she just didn’t believe it.
Kuro was in more despair than Alissa was. He broke his promise and despite what Alissa said, he didn’t want to be around anymore. He liked being with her but this part of him wanted nothing more than watching her blood spill.
Kuro attacked her again days later and finally his mind broke. Alissa drew her sword to defend herself this time. When Kuro regained his sanity momentarily, he asked her to strike him down with her sword but she couldn't do it. He embraced Alissa, still holding her sword, and the sword pierced his chest, instantly killing him. Before he died, he told her that he loved her. Alissa was devastated. Zero was upset but they knew his fate was imminent. At the time, Lucrecia and Ayame were hiding in another city. Alissa went with Kuro and Zero to stop those after them. Before he parted ways with them, he told them about Kuro and to expect the fact that he may not come back with him. Alissa was in despair and blamed his death on her. Even after reassurance by Zero, she ignored them and hated herself for letting herself become so close to humans.
Alissa then spent years of her life in solitude. Thinking she shouldn't exist in this world and that she only causes pain to other people and herself. Because her heart and, once strong, control was weak, Crusnik took advantage to take over. Alissa just let it happen for a long time.
One person named Kanaye then came across her and befriended her. He assured her that she can trust him and that he can take her pain away. She became an assassin for him. He told her that she is cleansing the world of all the people that deserve to die.
For a year, she killed many people. People then started going and there was a bounty placed on her. She became an enemy of everyone. Alissa didn’t understand. She was only hired to kill these people but then found that everyone she killed were innocents that didn’t do anything wrong worth dying for.
Alissa confronted Kanaye and demanded an explanation for manipulating her this whole time. Kanaye never provided the answer she wanted and let rage take over her and she wanted nothing more than seeing him die. He taunted her to the very end. Alissa finally used 80% Crusnik after he taunted her about the Crusnik the whole time. She finally used it and struck him down. This was another of her sins, killing many people. But even though she destroyed the one causing it, she was not given any redemption.
Because of her feelings, thoughts, and sins, the weight of everything scarred her heart. She couldn't bear to do anything more to make things worse. On top of everything, Crusnik took advantage of her heart's weakness and tried to take over.
If it weren't for the strength she already has, she wouldn't be taken over completely. But her worst fears are that it will happen if she doesn't do something.
Alissa then thought about ways she could atone for her sins. She isn't sure what she should do but she hopes she can eventually. She eventually decided that if Zero and his cousins were still alive, she could forgive herself for leaving them. Her reason, she thought she left them when they needed her the most.
