Yes it is as the title says. I went to one. For the first time in my little life. Although since I'm still up in New York with my grandparents and didn't expect to go to one of these, I didn't really dress up. But I did the best with what I had. The theme this one had was Pirate Invasion so a lot of things were pirate related. I wore a red and black outfit with mesh gloves, skull wristband, and various little things. I guess I looked a tad pirate like. But then I had my face painted and bought a few additions to my outfit. So I didn't care what I looked like.
They were a bunch of little skits and plays everywhere. The actors would also talk to you too if you caught them outside the show. One was walking down the road and I greeted him with a simple "Hi Ho!" And he greeted me back and even bowed. How cool.
One particular skit I enjoyed was one titled. "Hey Nunnie Nunnie!" The name says it all doesn't it? At the beginning the nuns would tell a bunch of jokes. Some I thought were hilarious and that I remember are... What do you call a sleepwalking nun? -A Roman Catholic What do you call a priest wearing a habit? -A trans-sister
Although the last one made me think of Trinity Blood and I ended up saying "Poor Abel-Kun." to myself. Of course refering to the time in the novels in the Star of Sorrow arc when Abel was disguised as a nun...sigh.
Anyways in the skit the nuns were very funny. They pointed out to a random man and sang one of those country breakup songs. The older nun called the random stranger "Tex" and before the song even played she kept saying "This one is for you." In that dead serious way, saying this is a song about how much you suck kind of thing. Then when the song was over, she ran up to the man and hugged him. Of course the other nun, who was probably a new sister, tried to scold her for hugging someone. But the nun simply replied saying "Its okay to hug a nun. You just can't get into the habit." LOL what a great pun.
Anyways I did, in fact, see one of the pirates from the previous trip to the wasterpark. Actually the one guy who rode the "Dark Blue Hurricane" with me and Jen. I didn't get the chance to greet him, but it was nice to see one person we met before.
To my surprise, many of the rides there were hand-made and man-powered. Well most of them were swings. I couldn;t help but feel bad for the people who operated them for hours. Jen and I rode one of the man-powered rides. I was a barrel shaped ride and some man pushes the swing several times and then makes it spin. That was totally fun but I ended up with a splitting headache afterward. Hey, it beats vomiting. I got lucky. I mean I could have gotten motion sick, even though its a rarity I'm still starting to get it.
Ahem! Not much else happened that was really memorable. Jen for some reason seemed out of it. So we didn't have any of our random conversations. Which seemed odd. And when I started a conversation, it just hung there and never continued and it made me seem like I was talking to myself. -sigh- I guess I try to hard.
