Deep in the night he slept, a dreamless, tortured sleep. The pain of being so far away from his lover for so long gnawed away at him. He awoke when he heard his window slide open. Panic. An intruder was opening his window. He mentally scolded himself for forgetting to lock the window… …until he felt warmth crawl into his bed, and under his blanket. Soft arms wrapped around him, and sweet breath warmed his neck. He turned to see her. Her eyes sparkled in the moonlight that paled her skin. Their reunion was silent, except the racing of their hearts. His eyes stung with tears of happiness, as he pulled her warm body closer to him. Finally he heard her sweet voice, “I’ve missed you so much… I couldn’t stay away any longer… I love you.” he grinned, “I love you too.” he felt the electrical chill pulse softly through her body. She pressed her face into his neck. They both eventually fell asleep in each others arms. ♫♪♫♪♫♪ The next morning he awoke to empty, lonely sheets. He sat up and looked around his room sadly. The window was closed, and she was no where to be found. Had she even been there in his bed with him, or was it all a heart-breaking dream. Tears welled up in his eyes, and a sad frustration ripped through his heart. “Damn it…” he sobbed softly, painfully. It was then he realized that his shower was running. He quietly crept out of bed, and into his bathroom. He smiled. She smiled, “Good morning, my love.”
