In the beginning all was well,
And there was us,
But on that day when the sun fell,
What happened between us two,
I will never tell,
Who were you to blame,
In fact who was I too as well,
The frozen lips,
That now spit lies,
I no longer know who,
Lurks behind those eyes,
Once pleasant dreams of you,
Are nightmares on the rise,
I fight,
You fight,
We fight ,
To the death,
Little did I know,
That is what was left,
“What happened between the two of us?”
I ask you as you lay,
“I guess we just grew apart,
Till this cursed day.”
“Please don’t leave me here like this,
Please don’t go away.”
But you close your eyes,
And whisper, “it will be okay.”
And that is where you left me,
When you died today.
