I'm not saying that there aren't plenty of honestly genuine nice men out there. There's a plethora of them. Nor am I saying this mentality is only male, the whole "good girl" thing is just as irritating.
What I'm getting tired of is the sheer amount of whiny people out there who b***h and moan that "nice guys finish last" and "girls only date jerks" without turning that beam inward and realizing that they're own behavior is what's preventing them from getting anywhere.
I'm sick of this spineless sniveling and how people pretend they're martyrs because the pretty popular doesn't want to have anything to do with them. I'm tired of hearing people whine about unrequited love, bored with movies where the loveable loser somehow snags the hottie, and irate with the proclamations of how "maybe if I start acting like a jerk I'll actually get somewhere."
Here's a hint, you're already acting like a jerk, but without the added benefit of having a personality.
So here's the condensed version for you lazy people who don't want to read: Nice guys? Unsung heros or irritating asses?
DISCLAIMER (Since people aren't reading the first paragraph)
*This is against self proclaimed "Nice guys" who use it as a manipulation tool, and aren't genuinely nice people. Note the quotations? These guys ""? That means that that I'm implying that the name doesn't fit the actual person!
*This is not to say that they're aren't guys who are kind, considerate, and polite. The difference is that these people don't go around whining about how nice they are, and that no one ever listens/appreciates/boinks them.
*There are women that do the same thing, I refer to them here as "Good Girls." Because they believe their too good and sweet to get a guy, when they're catty little things.
*Since I've had a few "What's the point? Of this?:" Here it is. This is a discussion board, I'm starting a discussion on it. And that means that there will be people who agree, disagree, and have personal stories to add. After fifty "HELP I dun no wut to do to make crush wuv me!" you think you'd be happy for something different.
