Who was this great Mobster of the 1920s? Al Capone was born January 17, 1899. His parents moved to the United States in 1893, had seven children total. Of course, he was Italian. He attended school til he was in sixth grade where he assaulted his teacher and, then, later beaten by the principal. His childhood was remarked just as any other troublesome child in the 1920s. Capone got into violence and fighting and started working for Johnny Torrio. (Al Capone Biography) It seems Al Capone was was just made for the mobster/gangster life.
