Hello again, all! Time to update on my life. :3
This week was finals week at my school. The only final that I had problems with was my Algebra II test, but luckily I knew a majority of what was on it. The stuff I didn't know, I made an educated guess at. The second hardest was my Modern Lit. final, because I had to write about every movie and novel that we've read in regards to how metaphorical masks were used and significant, as well as in modern media. That's a lot to write by hand in 80 minutes. D:
Thursday I had my PE and Government finals. The PE one was hard only because I don't pay attention to the rules of sports, of which the test is comprised of (and most teachers assume you know them all anyway, because heaven forbid you don't). Luckily my teacher let us use notes consisting of previous tests and worksheets. Our school likes believing they can make PE an accedemic course... yeah, right. Government consisted of the state constitution test. I wasn't too worried, even though I had to pass this final, otherwise I'd have to take the course all over again, because I was the highest score on my US Constitution test. I had only missed four questions! I was so thrilled! > w<
Today I was supposed to take my last and easiest final (Drawing), but it snowed an entire foot of white stuff out here. Our school is stupidly hopeful in these situations for some reason. I've learned that in the morning of an anticipated snow day, I have to get up at my usual time anyway, and check the school website. It'll state that we have a late start day, which basically means that it's hopeful the plows will miraculously clear up all of the roads (which never happens, especially since our town seems to forget that it needs to replenish its salt stores every summer). Then, after two more hours of sleep, you have to get up and check again. I was kind of disappointed, because usually when you get off on break, you feel accomplished and free. And even though it's only the Drawing final that awaits me in two weeks, it still sucks to think about.
My day was originally spent watching my little brother and his friend. I swear, there is something wrong with our town, mostly our subdivision. My little brother has Aspurger Syndrome, which makes him very self-absorbed and ADHD. The friend his age constantly lies and has some behavioral dysfunction. The twins that live across that friend have a missing chromosome, and are also compulsive liars (once one of them told us his grandma took his twin out to dinner, when we could see him through their upstairs window across the street). His friend down the street is whiny, ADHD, and has a listening problem. A kid at his bus stop has some form of Autism. The friend that randomly appeared today (never seen him in my life), didn't seem to understand that when you said something once, you were speaking for every similar situation afterward. My mom told him to not touch the Wii or the games, that if he wanted to play a new one, he'd have to ask. He kept trying to change the discs, trying to slam them into the disc slot.
But anyway. Then my little cousins came over, and soon after Dalndox came to get me. We spent some time at his house, then went over to our friend Chris'. As soon as we got there, all the guys started having a s**t-fit. Something about these two guys were taunting this one guy, who got offended and hitched a ride with this creep that everyone in our group hates (he's nineteen and has been known to hit on, go out with, and sleep with Freshmen in high school). So the offended guy's friend became offended because his friend turned down his offer of giving him a ride, and decided to take it out on everyone else. Boys are so stupid!
I'm just excited that Christmas Break has begun (yes, I dare call it that-everyone may call it otherwise, and you may call me what you want, but I won't care), and that means lots of rest and fun times ahead!
On a side note, the gas station down the street has made an amazing transformation. When I was a kid, they completely redid it from a Clark to a Citgo/White Hen, which wasn't so bad. It was actually kind of nice. Then, suddenly, a Seven-Eleven takes over, and after a month, it's finally finished. I wasn't too thrilled since I got used to the White Hen, but whatever. When Dalndox took me there, I was actually surprised. It had a lot more snacks and drinks than the other station before it, including Monster BFCs. I was floored. They also had more random items, such as shampoo and condoms. xD
Anyways. I was cleaning, but now I need to go to sleep. Tomorrow I seriously need to find my tablet's pen, otherwise I'll need to start canceling orders in the art shop. That'd suck, too. Dx
Well, I'm done. Go live your lives!
