Most people want to eat a nutritious meal with plenty of greens, a handful of fruits, a slab of protein and a dash of grains. Salads are a great source of all of your nutritional needs. Salads are easy to make and healthy. There are numerous ways to make salads, so you can be as creative as you want. This is how I make my Chef Salads. Every salad should have lots of green vegetables. First you should make sure to have looks of lettuce. The lettuce is the base of the salad so it’s very important. You may also have other vegetables like carrots, cucumbers, etc. Second, go to your fridge and grab a handful of tomatoes. Yes, tomatoes are now fruits so it would be perfect for your salad. Next you should get some protein to the salad. Ham, turkey, bacon, etc are types of protein that you can add. Last but not least the dressing. I love dressing because it can give the salad the extra flavor that it needs. You may use any type of salad dressing for example, ceasar, blue cheese, and my personal favorite, ranch. After you have gathered all of the items you may start to make your salad. Now you have to get a bowl to start putting the salad together. When you chose a bowl make sure you can find a lid to cover it. Then, with or without adult supervision, cut the lettuce and you choice of meat. Place the sliced ingredients into the bowl. Second place the tomatoes into the bowl. Next spill the dressing of your choosing into the bowl. Here is the fun part. Put the lid on top of your bowl. Make sure that it stays on because the next step is to shake the bowl. You have to shake the bowl so the dressing is spread evenly through out the salad. Congrats, you have finished making your salad. Grab a fork and a smaller bowl if you would like and dig in.
