Yesterday in the afternoon me and my cousins and their mom went to one of our relative's wedding, she lives in Goalbathan, Kaliakur...so we went and the journey wasn't nice it was hot and smelly and gaseous. we got there around 5pm and the before wedding gaye holud had already started, so we went there and stood around, went and sat beside the bride, sneaked off,tolerated the bad music,ect but all in all that few hours were not fun...the real fun started after the program was over. me and my cousin smita were headed to the adhikary residence (bride's house) when we saw a lost soul headed our way, the older brother of the bride aka polash kaka had something in his eye or so we thought..it was actually far worse. someone -with their hands filled wit holud which fells like chilly when inserted in the eye- had poked his eye and also ejected a bit of their nail into it...now we had no idea who is was and so we helped polash kaka by following him around...there were two korean girls there ( sarah and ruth) who suddenly came to aid him, they took him to their guest room and put cold water inhis eyes, but it didn't work, soon he was rushed back home and the other ladies looked after him while me sunny, smita didi,sarah and ruth sat there beside him, later they bought eye drops and also rubbed charcoal on his eye lids.
so that drama ended when he fell asleep and we went into our guestroom to change, then we had dinner and headed off to the church where we were now supposed to decorate the whole place!!! we started by decorating the walkway, we put a strand of white cloth on the side of the benches and decorated them with flowers, and we decorated an arch made by papia pishi and it was pretty, we blew balloons and put them up and we went upstairs and decorated and Ruth played the piano (HOLY SNOT SHE IS GOOD!!!) and we danced along and we were very happy there, and we practiced walking up the aisle biggrin then around 3am we we finished up and went to bed, then at 8am we were woken up so that we could help decorate the car! so we woke up and had breakfast and helped with things around like getting things for people and delivering messages and other useful stuff, then we got our outfits for the wedding and we went back to our guestroom to change, we did that and the dresses were weird but cute, then we went back to helping the ppl until 11 am. we then got into the car and went to the church. there we sat for a while and then when everything was ready we started the program, we marched and then stood there on the stage for hours until the wedding ended, then we got back home change, slept for a while, went to eat and then went to sleep again, then got up and it was time to go, we said bye to everyone and came home.
i had loads of fun and i'll always remember this wedding, and i made 2 new friends biggrin
