I didn't know what to say
you made me stop in my tracks
you brightened up my day
i quickly fell in love with you
as any other girl would do
but you said no thank you
and friendship would be as far as we would go
i accepted this painful fact
that we would probably never be
until we got closer and closer
and my feelings decieved me
then you took my breath away
telling me you shared my feelings
it was like you filled me with helium
and let me float above your head
then, quite suddenly,
you cut the string that held me to you
you told me i wasn't good enough
you let me float away
the pain would not go away
it would not dissapear
and then you came back into my life
wanting to act like it never happened
i don't think you know how much you hurt me
it still hurts deep inside
to even look at you
how can you not see it in my eyes?
the cuts still run deep
it will take more time to heal
you may like to be hurt
but that doesn't mean that i do...
