The Thoughts and Feelings of OuEstLaCraie
A place for thoughts, ramblings, and reflections; a sort of blog, if you will, where I'll share the daily drudgery of my life, the fun things I do with friends, and any random ideas I have for rolling around in my noggin. Enjoy : )

Amadahy walked slowly into the wide room. This was the king's study, where he kept most of his trinkets and treasures, many of which were sacred talismans to varioous creatures across the continent. She crept to a case to one side, gazing reverently upon the stone the glass box held: the Blood of the Ocean.
The tiny sting ray, frozen forever in pale blue aquamarine, sat on thin layers of velvet beneath thick glass. Amadahy brought the chain of her necklace from its hiding place, tucked away under her shirt, and the starfish dangling there seemed to strain towards its captured brother. The Puddle Maiden glanced around, awaited footsteps outside the door to pass on, then waved a hand over the lock on the glass. She tipped the lid back and gently lifted the sting ray from its prison.
"At last," she murmured, the stone settled into her palm. She smiled to herself, then unclasped her necklace and attached the Blood of the Ocean, sliding the necklace back into her shirt for safe-keeping. She turned to go.
Did you really think I'd let you get away so easily? Raghnall said in her mind, voice full of good humor.
Amadahy muttered a curse under her breath and looked around, seeking a hiding place, or an escape. None were in sight. Before she could search further, or perform the invisibility spell Shiva had taught her, the doors banged open and three guards in full armor clanked into the room, surrounding her.
With barely a flick of the wrist, the necklace disappeared from the Maiden's neck before the guards seized and disarmed her. The two stones, as well as Khalon's ring, ended up clasped in Zelphur's paw, the Loki eyeing the trinket in bewildermentfor only a moment, before tucking it away. Amadahy could handle herself, and she would be back for them soon enough; he was sure of that.
