Our Façade
I’ve been unmasked, for good this time. I’m never going to put back my facade on my face. For the first time in my life I didn’t need it. Am I free?
“Checkmate,” Karin Underwood said to her opponent, who was staring at the black and white chessboard confused. “How?” he asked, but he never got a answer. Karin has left the building. A pair of glasses appeared out of the bushes next to the building Karin was just at. “Data,” he grumbled scratching things out and adding new collected information to his green notebook. He frowned, dissatisfied with his newly collected information on the girl.
Name: Karin Underwood Grade:8th School: Hyotei Caption of the tennis team Hobbies: Tennis and is often seen playing chess
There is not information that shows her, well, personality. “Hey Inui where are you?” someone called. Darn, my location will be given away, he thought as he got out of his hiding spot. Karin was just on her way back home, when the guy asked her to play him, of course she could not stay away. Her long wavy black hair blew in the wind. Her purple eyes shone with little emotion, that was her talent. She can conceal almost all her emotions. A red haired guy sprinted to her, doing a couple of chart-wheels along the way. “Hey hey Karin!” his voice oozed with excitement, that scared her. His arms came up and hugged her, “I found you!” he laughed. Karin looked away, although her heart of thumping against her chest her face didn’t show any of it. The boy laughed, “You really can conceal your emotions!” “What do you want Mukahi,” Karin said, trying to slow down her heart rate. “Well, Atobe wanted me to give you these,” Mukahi reached into his tennis bag that he was carrying and out came a gigantic stack of papers. “He says that you have to get done with theses by tomorrow, he sure is hard on you isn’t he?” I stared at the papers. That’s going to take me a while to finish, I thought as Mukahi handed me the papers, smiling thinking that he has done a good thing by giving the papers to me. He said good-bye and took off with his stuff. I stood there thinking how I was going to finish both homework and the Atobe’s paperwork. BAM! The stack of papers slams against the desk, Karin glared at the king. “Done,” she mumbled and walked away. “Hey,” Atobe’s hand reached out and grabbed her hand, backing her into the wall. His height towered over hers, as if engulfing her with his expensive cologne scent.
