Xero: Chapter 19:
One month later....
Xero had finally arrived home with Damia and Himakio at his side, al lwas finally well again, and for the time being, Xero was at peace with himself. Until one day....Xero finished training with Damia, exausted as Damia was, he decided to go back to Xero's home, where he now lived along with Xero. Xero knew something wasn't right, as he felt a strange presence that seemed to follow him arround ever since he returned home, so he decided to look for it. Suddenly, Xero was jumped by a shadowy figure! Xero jumped back and stood ready to counter. He quickly made a jump at the figure, slicing it in two with only his arm. The figure seemed to vanish into thin air, something was -definately- not right. Xero suddenly found himself in a darkened room, with absolutely nothing arround him. Xero looked arround, still unsure of what was going on, until a figure finally revealed itself dirrectly behind Xero. "Welcome back..." said the figure in a mysterious, yet familiar voice to Xero. Xero turned arround and faced the figure, who was still mostly shrouded in the darkness arround him. Finally, the figure stepped out of the shadow, revealing himself to be none other than the mysterious Asid. Xero was surprised at the sigh of Asid again after so long, yet he hadn't changed at all. "It's been a long time, Xero....Three years to be exact..." said Asid, still looking at Xero. Xero looked arround for a moment, then looked back at Asid. "How did I get here? What's going on? Are you that strange presence I was feeling all this time?" asked Xero. "Well aren't we the clever one.." Asid smirked and chuckled slightly. "What's going on here? Why am I here?" asked Xero. "So good of you to ask, Xero. Please allow me to explain.." Asid said with a smirk still on his face, looking slightly down. "I was waiting for your return, all these years, just so I could tell you, you passed the test." Asid looked back up at Xero. "Test? What test? I don't remember taking any test from you. You're confusing me!" said Xero, sounding irritated. "Why, Xero, you've been taking it all along..." Asid chuckled. "What the hell do you mean Asid?! You're pissing me off here!" yelled Xero, sounding angry now. Asid just looked down and started chuckleing again. "You didn't think that all you went through was simply coincidence, did you?" said Asid. "What the hell do you mean? Get to the point already!" yelled Xero. "Such a simple mind...Having no clue of what was really going on that entire time...Himakio was just a convenience to draw out your true power.." said Asid. "What?! She's more than that! She's my friend!" yelled Xero again. "Oh I know that...I simply used your emotional connection to her in order to draw out your rage within, your true power of the Demon Wolf." replied Asid. "But...How did you know? How did you know what I've been doing all these years?" asked Xero. "Such a simple mind...I take it you were too blinded by your quest to find Himakio to notice what was really going on..." said Asid. "Does that mean....? You...You were behind it all...Hawk...The Shengu Clan...Daiben...It was all you, wasn't it? You had her kidnapped, you almost got her killed....But I...I thought you were my friend...I looked up to you.." said Xero, now sounding slightly saddened. "You finally get it..." chuckled Asid "but I am...Or rather I -could- be, if you choose to join me...Together, with your massive power combined with mine, we could finally cleanse this world of its wickedness and ascend to the next!" Asid then looked to Xero. "You...You're insane if you think I'm going to join you after what you did to me...what you put me through, and there's no way in hell I'm gonna help you wipe out all life in the world!" Xero turned back, but was then stopped by a mysterious force. "You don't understand, Xero." said Asid "You have no choice but to join me...Look arround you, I control everything that you see...You cannot escape.." Asid turned Xero arround. "No...No! I won't join you! I refuse!" Xero became very angry and charged Asid. Asid simply reached out his hand and stopped Xero in mid air "Tsk tsk Xero...Didn't you hear me the first time? I control everything arround you, and even you..." he chuckled. "Now then, the choice is yours...Either join me, or die here. Which do you choose?" said Asid, still holding Xero. Xero struggled hard but could not escape Asid's grasp. From right there it seemed as though Xero would die right then and there, but suddenly! Asid was struck from behind by William! He had finally shown himself, and then faced Asid. "Listen here pal, that's my friend you're messin' with, and if you want him, you gotta go through me first!" said William, enraged and facing Asid, ready to fight. Asid simply turned arround, and sent a projectile at William. William dodged every blow, and kept moving toward Asid with every dodge. Asid finally sent a beam at William which blew him back. Asid then faced Xero again, ready to kill him. Just then Asid was attacked again, but by a different figure! It was Damia! Asid became irritated and began to attack Damia as well, but having Damia's powers, he dodged every blow and managed to knock Xero out of Asid's grasp. "Go! Now Xero! Run!!" yelled Damia as he turned and faced Asid again. "You guys! You came to save he!" said Xero to the others. "Come on! I'm not leaving here without you guys!" Xero flashed over to each of them and took them by the arms "We're getting out of here!" Xero dodged everything Asid sent at him, then bursted out of the darkened room and escaped with his friends. Asid just watched them leave, irritated, he then turned arround. "So he has chosen death....So be it. Assemble my best men..." said Asid to one of the figures who now appeared in the room. Just then four shadowy figures appeared behind him.

Xero: Chapter 20:
In the aftermath of the event which had taken place with Asid, Xero, William, and Damia all returned back to Xero's home where they would later meet and discuss things. "What was that back there...?" Asked William. "Yeah.." said Damia "I wanna know what's goin' on here too." they both looked at Xero curiously. "Well..." said Xero "It's a long story, see I met Asid a while back, three years ago actually. Up until now I had considered him one of my closest friends and a great mentor...Until I found out what he was really after, and what he had done to me all this time.." Xero's voice trailed off as he went into thought on the whole situation, angry and confused. "Hmm.." Damia and William both nodded. "I have to go meet with Himakio about this.." said Xero. "Alright." replied Damia. William also nodded. "Stay here guys...In case something happens." said Xero, as he headed out the window in a single leap. Damia and William both did as Xero had told them, staying at his house, just waiting for Xero to return. When Xero had reached Himakio, she was standing in a meadow outside town. Xero walked up to Himakio and addressed her. "We need to talk." said Xero, placing his hand on Himakio's shoulder. Himakio turned arround looking surprised, yet happy to see Xero at the same time. She immediately embraced Xero and hugged him. "Sure, anything." said Himakio "So what's this all about coming to me like this, by the looks of it it must be important, right?" she looked curiously at Xero. Xero's face became grave "Unfortunately, yes, that is the case." said Xero "Something happened recently, and I learned some things. These things happen to involve you and what I've been doing over the past three years." He looked down, then back up at Himakio. "Yes?" said Himakio "Go on.." Her face looked very curious as she payed close attention to what Xero was saying. "Well.." said Xero "I met back up with Asid earlier..". "Wait, you mean that creepy man who's always acting weird? I met up with him when Daiben kidnapped me..Scary man." interrupted Himakio. "So then you know that the whole thing was a setup..?" said Xero "Everyone I've ever faced...Everything I've done, it was all a part of some crazy test. Now he wants me to join him and wipe out all life in the world. I can't let him go through with his plan..." Xero looked down again. "O-oh...I had no idea..." replied Himakio, looking saddened at Xero's expression. Xero then looked up and had a serious look on his face. "Well, whatever's going on, I'm gonna stop it. I have to stop Asid! It is my fate, my new mission..I won't allow him to get away with all that he's done." Xero clenched his fist, looking out to the distance, the wind blowing his cloak and hair. "Well aren't we the brave one..." said a voice out in the distance from behind Xero and Himakio. Xero immediately turned arround to find a figure standing by a tree, he clenched both fists and faced his new opponent. Meanwhile back at Xero's house, Damia and William, incredibly bored, were exchanging battle tips, and throwing random things from arround Xero's room at each other. "Ya think Xero'll be back any time soon..?" said William. "Doubt it.." said Damia "He's always out like this, always kept -me- waiting whenever he went out anyways..." They both sat down, incredibly bored, when suddenly a crash came through the window, Damia and William expecting it to be Xero rushed over. To their surprise and dismay, it was two figures standing just inside the window, surveying the house. "This is the place.." said one to the other "Yeah.." replied the other "Let's mess things up.." they both smirked and began ransacking the place when Damia and William both rushed in. "Who the hell're you?!" Said William to them both. The two strange men just turned to face them smirking. "That's none of your business, now out of our way or we'll force our way through, and we -won't- be merciful." said one of them. "No way!" said Damia "We ain't movin'!" agreed William. They both stood ready to defend themselves against their newly found enemies. The four of them immediately began fighting, and so the battle begins...

Xero: Chapter 21:
Meanwhile back with Xero, he had just turned to face his new opponent, recognizing the face almost instantly. "Remember me? You put up quite a fight back then kid..." chuckled the strange figure. Xero looked surprised at the figure "You're Hawk....but...I thought I killed you three years ago..." Xero was slightly shaky, but still standing his ground, he immediately flashed back to the day he had his first encounter with Hawk, and how he had defeated him with a single blow. "The name's not Hawk kid, I might as well share my real name with you. Name's Dart, Dart Eriseiken. It'll be the last name you ever hear." Dart smirked as he took a stance and immediately glided towards Xero, seeming even swifter than before in their last encounter. Xero narrowly avoids the attack, slightly grazed along the shoulder. "You're faster than before..." said Xero, again taking a defensive stance. "Himakio, stay back, let me handle him..." Xero pushed Himakio back to the sideline. Himakio looked nervous, but still stood in a safe place, watching Xero fight. Dart rushed Xero again, but Xero countered with another rush towards Dart. The two clashed, and sent both flying in opposite dirrections. "How did you improve like that?" asked Xero "You're so much faster and stronger than you were three years ago...You should be dead!" Xero again thought back to their last encounter, compareing his old style to the new. "Well" said Dart, almost mockingly "You're right, I SHOULD be dead, but that wasn't the case. I caught Master Asid's eye right after our last fight, he saved me, and even upgraded my powers. I am no longer the hawk, I am now the Eagle." Dart began laughing as he charged his aura arround him, forming the outline of wings on his arms, and talons on his leggs. Dart came at Xero without warning and grabbed him by the shoulders with his talons. Xero was slammed into the ground of the meadow and dragged along it for a distance. Xero flipped over quickly and flung Dart off of him, sending him flying into a large tree. Dart got right back up with a smirk on his face. "It'll take more than that to take me out.." said Dart, grunting angerly. Xero took a stance, then powered up his wolf Aura. "Well then.." said Xero "Allow me to SHOW you more!" Xero let out a howl as claws grew on his hands and feet, and fangs grew in his mouth. Dart laughed mockingly "So! You finally learned how to control that thing did ya?! Well this is gonna be interesting!" Dart charged at Xero again, only to be countered by a black fang slash from Xero. Dart braced himself as he impacted with the attack, but was still knocked back. Dart got right back up and flew into the air again "No way! No way am I losing to you again!!"Shouted Dart as he charged all the energy he could, then released it in a gigantic wave at Xero. Xero braced for the attack and countered it with a gigantic black fang slash. The two attacks cloided, and the fang slash went right through it after pushing, and went straight into Dart. Dart took the blast full blown, and fell to the ground. Dart yet out a yell "NO! I WILL NOT LOSE TO YOU AGAIN!" he tried moving, but he couldn't. "You idiot..." said another mysterious voice. "You failed again, Dart. Now you pay the ultimate price for your incompotance." The strange shadowy figure stood over dart, sliced his sword and Dart seemed to completely disappear, letting out a loud yell. "What the..." Xero looked confused at the new figure standing there. "Who are you...?" asked Xero, half nervous after having powered down from his wolf Aura state. The figure looked at Xero and replied "...You may call me Dusk..I am the deathbringer, Asid's top assassin.." he sheathed his sword. Xero was still confused at the man, but knew what he had to do. "So...You work for Asid too huh?" asked Xero. "That is correct.." said Dusk, his voice sounding gloomy and dark every time he spoke. "So then.." said Xero "If I take you out, you'll tell me where to find Asid and stop him.." Xero looked fiercely at Dusk. "Fool..." said Dusk "If you could even so much as manage to lay a finger on me, I would be amazed." Xero looked angry at Dusk. "Alright!" said Xero "Let's test that!" Xero powered back up, the aura arround him, and rushed at Dusk. Dusk simply shifted sideways, grabbed Xero's arm, stabbed it with a needle and threw Xero off. Xero went crashing into the ground then struggled back up. Xero then found that he couldn't retain his wolf powers, his aura disappeared and he collapsed. "Damnit..." Grunted Xero as he struggled to move. "Foolish...Just chargeing at me like that. Too easy, perhaps you are not as strong as Asid previously indicated.." said Dusk, still with a grim tone in his voice. "I no longer have time left to waste with you, I'm leaving.." with that, Dusk opened a rift and walked into it and disappeared. Himakio rushed over to Xero to see if he was okay and got down next to him. "Xero? Xero! Are you okay!?" said Himakio, worried. "Yeah..." grunted Xero, struggleing to get up "I'm fine..." Xero was still unable to get up. Himakio placed her hands over Xero and began focusing light energy to heal him. Xero let out a few grunts as the energy slowly was returned to him, Xero again struggled back up and stood in front of Himakio. "Oh thank goodness you're okay." said Himakio, getting up and standing next to Xero. "I don't know what that guy is...but he's tough...I'll get him one day, I swear I will. Then Asid will be next..." Xero stood facing the horizon towards the town.

Xero: Chapter 22:
Meanwhile, back at Xero's house, Damia and William were having a bit of a problem handleing their two opponents...
CRASH! Damia came flying through one of the walls, bringing several shelf items crashing to the floor. "Damn...These guys mean business.." said Damia as he struggled back up from the pile of junk. "We'll only ask you one more time before we obliterate you both. Where-Is-Xero?!" said one of them in an impatient voice. "Well listen here, we ain't telling you anything! Ya got that?!" Said William stubbornly. "Very well." said the other enemy "We'll just have to destroy you both then along WITH this place!" the first and seemingly stronger enemy unsheathed his sword and charged at William. William immediately grabbed a nearby metal rod and stick it in front of himself to defend himself. The other enemy rushed at Damia and tackled him down. Damia quickly flung his enemy off of him and got back up to face him. William pushed his enemy away and knocked his side with the metal rod then knocked him across the room. He went crashing out through the window and into the open outside. "D-Damn you! You caught me off guard!" yelled the strange enemy. William jumped outside and faced him, twirling his metal rod. The strange enemy called to the other to come out, and he did. The other enemy jumped out and took his place next to him. Damia quickly followed behind "Hey! I'm not done with you yet!" Damia jumped out and stood next to William, and they both stared their opponents down. "Now then" said the leader "I believe it proper that we at least know the names of our newest victims before we do away with them, so out with it. Tell us your names." he finished and stared them both down. "Well, 'name's William." replied William, "And I'm Damia." added Damia. "Well then, Damia, William. My name is Melith, Melith Origatu, and this is my partner Marx Kurikai. Prepare to meet your doom." All four of them took stances and again rushed at each other. William's metal rod clashed against Melith's blade. William was partly knocked back, but William swept Melith's leg with the rod and knocked him off his feet. William them planted his staff's end on Melith's midsection. "Game over for you" said William. "Oh I think not..." said Melith as he smirked and clenched his blade and focused his energy. In a burst of energy William was knocked off of Melith and Melith got up, glowing with his aura of power. He signaled for Marx to do the same with his powers which knocked Daimia back and agaisnt the wall. They both charged at William and Damia at full power. They were both in for some trouble..
