Current Events Assignment By: Mei Pang The article I read was called The Rarest of the Rare. This article talked about the animals that are becoming extinct because they lack the habitat that they once lived. Though majority of the human race doesn't care about the animals, the Wildlife Conservation Society and the ICN (the International Union for Conservation of Nature) were. This is a news article is in the news to alert others that many animals are dieing. It is new also because there are no options in the article and is composed of facts that the reporter found. The article is basically about organizations that don’t want want the endangered animals to become extincted because of reasons like fishing bycatch, water pollution and the destruction of the rain forest habitat. These threats that devastated the endangered species because the animals only have one small region to live and is found nowhere else. This makes them to be vulnerable when their only home is gone. Then it talks about how the animals can’t not adapt to the climate change and they end up dieing. I think that it is horrible that all the rare animals are dieing because of humans.
