This is one of the very first, if not, THE first pet site I joined. I'm sure you can tell why. *dragons everywhere* Heck, the place is named Dragon Cave. xD So clearly, I would come.
In the beginning, they only had around.. say.... 5-8-ish dragons. It was simple. They didn't have a forum to speak of, or, not one I knew of. And they didn't have all that they do now. I watched this place grow.... *tear in eye* ANYWAY... xD
In order to get eggs, you have to make an account. Seems to be a common standard wherever you go, but that's fine.
The site has no currency, so don't expect to buy things with it. Or even buy pets or "premium" pets. All of it is hard work, luck, and time.
On the main page, there are habitats, clearly as you can see. Plains, Forest, Desert, Volcano, Jungle, and whatnot, as well as an extra "abandoned" spot. Eggs matching the appropriate biomes would probably be found where you think. Whilst abandoned area is obviously what the title says.
You choose one of the three darkened eggs, with only a description to go by, and you have a week to hatch the egg into a hatchling. After you hatch it, you have one more week to attempt to mature it into an adult. You pets CAN fie if you do not give it what it needs as an egg or hatchling. But once it is an adult, you're fine to keep it however long you want.
Some dragons have special abilities, and the dragpns with the abilities tend to be the first ones, the Red, the Oragne/Magi, the Pinks (although the newer pink has the ability), the Green, and whatnot.
You can breed your dragons, and sometimes you can get a special dragon from breeding. But it's only with three so far: The Black Dragon, the Vine Dragon, and the Stone Dragon. The Vine and black dragons have Alternate colors, whilst the Stone dragons have a Geode dragons you can breed. ((Only by pairing two Stones together, however.))
When DragCave has events, they tend to last only for however long the event is. IE: Christmas is only one day, thus the eggs are around only for one day.
They also have a "wilderness". A place where you can see wild dragons with no owner. I'm not quite sure how they get there, in all honesty... but it's a good way to look at dragons you don't have, and try to get the ones you want.
